I think is a great idea. It is an effort to support those that run these calls every day and night. When a volunteer does this, their family pays the price so this is our way to possibly pay them back a little bit. Now, when is the state going to help not only the volunteer but also the company itself through budget lines for operating costs. With fuel at $5 a gal, our communities no longer have the disposable income to frequent our substantial amount of fund raisers we need to survive. The local townships and boroughs can't hardley support themselves and all of their giveaways, so the local emergency providers are left hanging with old communication gear, little money for operating costs and no relief in site.
