I haven't gone up the Trail since the accident occurred but I'll bet it's the same house that was run into years ago. On the East side of the Trail, it's right at a mild left curve which, if you fail to negotiate it, sends you right up to that house. The last time, the vehicle went right into the house so the owner put a big rock outside to prevent the next occurence.

Ron you are so right. It is the same house that was hit years ago and I think it was an elderly lady who passed away in that one.

I don't think it is the same house. That house was closer to the orginal Saubel store in Hametown. I think it was a teenage girl in the house that was killed that time.

The legendary Susqueahannock athelte Brad Weaver and another guy drove through a house (since demolished) that was right along the trail, killing occupant Amy Beth Ampsacher.

The driver and passenger (never really was conclusive who was driving) then hid in a corn field until they sobered up.

That was nearly 20 years ago.

I just love these threads. Makes my day! It is like the old game, when 25 people line up and a statement is made at the beginning and is completely changed by the end. I'm stickin' with "Long term memory".
Oh the joy!

The house with Amy Amspacher is the Aloha Pool place next to the Shrewbury Twp maintenance building. The house for this incident is the house just below the old skate park near the Shrewsbury Vet building. This is the same house were the elderly woman crashed her car and passed away.
