You forgot that former Gov. Rendell veto the bill that would fix that loop hole.
The Castle Doctrine states: the use of deadly force in self-defence is not justifiable when safe retreat is possible, unless the person is attacked in there home or workplace.
State Rep. Scott Perry reintroduced his " Castle Doctrine" that would remove the requirement to retreat before using deadly force outside the home or workplace.
Maybe our new Gov will pass it this time
Yep, that would be wonderful. Imagine one day when these brazen crooks are afraid to step foot outside their crack house.

Shrewsbury is always in the news, because the problems never end.It goes on and on........The crime in the area per capita is terrible. All the folks do is complain, nothing is ever right in Shrewsbury.I remember when it wasn't on the map, and I am beginning to think it should not be now.Southern Regional Police dept. has provided the citizens of the area with fine police protection, the problem is to many miles and not enough officers or money. The other problem is Baltimore Md.The people that moved up from Baltimore brought Baltimore to PA.as if that was not enough Wally World brought the rest. You live in a rural area, carry a gun and protect yourself, this is Pennsylvania.

Hate to disappoint you but I do not make a penny from Shrewsbury Township but you are right about one thing I do not live in the area and I am glad of it. But that does not keep me from doing my homework and learning the facts about these people.
...hey Mr. Homework, why don't you sit in on a New Freedom Borough meeting before you start flapping about the value of Southern Regional Police. They are currently on the chopping block there!

If you read my post more carefully you will see I was only addressing the issue of Township Manager. I have not researched the police issue since I do not live there but now maybe I think I should. After reading all these posts I am beginning to change my mind. Perhaps Shrewsbury Township needs more than a new manager. From all the bickering and snide comments sounds like a what is needed is a Grandmother that can smack everyones butt and send them to their rooms without a computer do write a nasty note to this forum.
