1. True, he shouldn't have been out riding with a suspended license.

2. It's not because his license was suspended that this happened.

Have a little heart people. You obviously don't have anyone you care about or you'd first be able to put yourself in this family's shoes instead of chiding the boy. Shame on you.

Thoughts to the family. It's a shame people can't look past the faults to see that there are broken hearts.

Come on people, a young life has been taken here. Just because his license may have been suspended does nothing to lessen this tragady or change what happened. From all accounts, this young man was living a positive life and was well respected by his fellow students and teachers.

The fault is still on the driver of the pickup. It's not open season on riders reguardless of license status. get a clue.

Are you kidding me?! It wasnt his fault. It was the dumb ass who pulled out in front of him. And that guy will have to live with that for the rest of his life!

Are you sure it was the pickup drivers fault? I ride a cycle as well but am not jumping to any conclusions here. You can assume that if just his cycle license was revoked it was more than likely due to multiple speeding incidents on a bike. If that's the case he very well could have been speeding on this day. Believe me 100mph on a bike is no problem at all. If he was, then it's not the fault of the truck driver. The kid would have been out of site and been on him in no time. Either way I don't know for sure. If you want to keep assuming and placing blame though go for it, I'm just showing you both sides of the coin.

If you know where it happened at, then you know that is a very bad hill there to pull out of. The cyclist was obviously speeding. That hill should be taken with caution due to people pulling in & out of the car wash.

Would is be safe to say if the young man who tragically died had not been on the motorcycle due to the suspended license, then could I assume regardless of other drivers, pickup trucks, hills or speed, he would be alive today?

The point is that if his license was suspended he shouldn't have been driving. Therefore, he would not have crashed and would still be alive.

Well for the simple fact that I knew this boy, and his family, and was very close to his girlfriend, anyone who put the blame on anyone is an asshole. I'm a Jr. Firefighter, and yes, some car accidents are done deliberately, but they are called car accidents for a reason. Neither Leon Travers (R.I.P) is at fault nor the other driver. What if one of you were in Leon's place or even his families place, would you want people blaming you or the other person? No! I don't think so. So next time a car accident happens and you're in it, remember, it's neither of your faults. It's an accident. Also, I was hit by a car, so I know what I'm talking about, the lady hit me, and I didn't blame her. So think before you speak. Especially about a 16 year old boy!!!!!!!!!!
R.I.P Leon Travers
We all love and miss you dearly.
Your family will always be in our thoughts and prayers. Also, I'm sorry for your loss Brittany and Karen (2 of Leon's sisters)

Grow up a**hole, the post is factual, deal with it! If he didn't have a license he shouldn't have been driving. Simple enough for even you to understand.

People in Maryland only know there is a left lane to drive in. And those that do know otherwise indiscriminately show their inability to drive on a daily basis, so therefore stating facts about driving should not be something you should even be considering. Get real you idiot, a persons license status does not at all dictate their ability to drive. Assuming facts you have no way of knowing is wrong. What you give to other people often comes back to you in the end. I hope you have your day. SOON ! Your arrogance only shows your lack of intelligence. People make mistakes and clearly you don't think you do !
