It would be a lot better if he had no reason to have to lay those bricks. My heart goes out to those 2,000 families. Lives lost for nothing, Its such a shame.

To say that these people lost there lives for nothing is a insult. They died protecting our freedom and country and thanks to them you can sit behind your computer and use your rights of freedom of speech wich you would not have if it was not for these brave people who died. So stop and think before u say they died for nothing.

Yeah because a sovereign nation that was just recently proved to have had no connecting to the tragedies of 9/11 was invaded for the advancement of the military-industrial complex.

Why didn't you do it for no other reason than just doing it. I am a 100% disabled veteran, and have no regrets for my service to my country. You have a right to disrespect veterans, but remember you should also thank them for giving YOU the right to spew YOUR garbage.

it is my understanding that the bricks are there to honor anyone who served in the Armed Forces, not who died in the service.

I did not disrespect veterans in any way, shape, or form. Many of my friends are veterans. If you took at as disrespect, I'm sorry. I respect what they have done. Its just a shame they died for nothing.

Died for nothing, you are inconsiderate. They died for their country, because they were told to fight for it, no matter what the reason or how wrong it was. They had orders, followed them and gave the ultimate sacrifice. God bless all of them and the ones currently serving overseas.

What a great kid! This is very helpful for me, as I live out of state and the next time I come up I'll be looking for my dad's brick.

"Truth,"

Way to take a nice story about a good teenager and twist it to fit your agenda. For the most part I agree with you but this is not the place for me to voice my political stance, and I'm mature enough to see that. Sorry that you are not.

Hey dope, if you ever went to the park you would know that there are a lot of people who died in the service of their country and for the most part there are bricks for men and women who served an are still alive. Get your facts straight before you make an asss of yourself.

If this great nation was ever truly threatened you better believe I'd be first in line to fight.

I agree with Mary. I'm just frustrated because the sheep of this nation just follow the heard.

Thank you veterans.

I know, cause our "freedom" was under threat.
I'm not going to stoop to your level and resort to name calling. I hope that you're 14; it would be sad if an adult conducts himself like you.
DO you like Bill O'Rielly by any chance?

I like the idea of having bricks with the names of veterans on them, but not having them in a walkway. People would be walking on them and I see that as being a sign of disrespect. It is like walking in a cemetery. You try to stay off the flat headstones. I would rather see them pulled up off the walkway and make a wall out of them. Just a thought...

Nathaniel,
Great Job! Iím sure this wasnít an easy task! Congratulations on sticking it out and going all the way to Eagle Scout. That too is not an easy task. It takes a lot of time, hard work, and dedication! Letís face it, if it was easy, everyone who entered the scouts would make it to Eagle! Good Job buddy! May the peace and the love of Lord Jesus Christ be with you and your family who supported you!

They DID NOT die for nothing. Did they die for nothing in World War 11? You would be well versed in German or Japanese today and what a different world this would be if we had been defeated. You may think that we are sticking our noses into places you don't like. That would be wrong. There are countries out there begging for our help and aid. Who else, but us, would they ask for help...the Russians, the Chinese, Cuba, North Korea, Hugo Chavez. Think about it pal, you live in the greatest country in the world because America's best gave their lives and limbs for your freedom. By the way, in my personal opinion, you should get off the KoolAid and watch both channels to seek the truth.
