5 taken to hospitals after Rt. 2 head-on crash in Westminster

Five people were injured in a head-on collision on Route 2 late yesterday. State police spokesman Matthew J. Murray said a 1997 Land Rover driven by David Bourinot, 52, of Winthrop, collided with a 2005 Toyota Avalon driven by Mabel Atter, 69, of Gardner.

This guy hopefully gets what he deserves I hope the woman in the other vehicle are ok and would be surprised if he was not the one at fault he has an extensive record in the past state police take notice while investigating

It doesn't matter if he was on the phone, it is not illegal to be talking on the phone while driving anyway.

So don't act like your better than anyone else Kristen Keen. I'd bet anything you drive and talk on the phone every single day.

Let me RE point out fact. It is NOT illegal to be talking on the phone while driving in Massachusetts. At least not yet. So even if he WAS on the phone that is no reason to condemn him. There are other reasons why this accident happened.

Focus on that instead of being on the phone when im SURE your no better.

I was found "NOT GUILTY" by a jury of the charge of driving to endanger. i was not texting, talking on the phone, nor was i under the influence.
my steering wheel gear box or whatever the name is, had a disconect from the wheeels. it was an accident. nothing more. the passangers in the other vehicle were seriously hurt. and for that i am deeply sorry that it was my vehicle involved. i too was serously hurt. not as reported in the paper that i had minor injuries and released. i did leave one hospital and was transported by ambulance to umass. i was in an upper bodyback brace for 4 months and still need to were it periodicly. i am still haunted by the image of those elderly woman being struck in there toyoto by my landrover. i can only
ask God to open there hearts to see this was an accident.

Public records show that he was arrested for driving under the influence in Concord after The Westminster accident. His fourth offense. Lets hope they get it right this time and hopefully in the meantime he does not kill anybody.
