I saw these photos on the news. The police officer appears to have committed a serious crime. He should be arrested. The other police involved and who covered this up should be arrested.

If he want to appeal his firing he should have to do it from prison. I think 10 years and 100k fine should levied.

I hope she sues him and the police department also. From the video It looks like someone was also laughing about this. Although the video is a little unclear.

Did not see your last post but with language like this I hope you keep your day job. Freedom of speech does not mean you can say anything you want.

This should be thouroughly investigated. If the officer is guilty he should serve prison time in addition to a large fine. None of this suspended with pay crap either! I think a civil suit would be in order here. Hopefully for a very large amount of money paid by the officer and the City of Shreveport. Even if a prisioner is drunk and beligerent there is no excuse for this kind of beating. Getting someone under control and beating someone sensless are two different things! What's happend to Shreveport? It used to be such a great place to live. Guess it's a testament to the new city leaders.

The bruises on her eyes were circularly symmetric. Think about it. No fall could produce precise, circular, symmetric bruises to the eyes in this manner.

Did you note the pool of blood on the floor?

How do these animal cops sleep at night? Then they wonder why people don't respect them out on the street. The cops are out of control.

Did this woman sue? That bastard lawyer for the cop said the woman fell.

The telltale sign of guilt for the cop was his turning off the camera. I've never in my 56 years on this earth noted that a camera was , by policy, turned off prior to an arrest/booking/etc.

He beat her. Think about how women look after a domestic abuse incident. Precisely the same.

Copper beat her up.

This is one case where I'd love to be on a jury. She'd be one rich woman. It does not matter. The Bible states woman are the "weaker vessel" and no matter what he thought of her he chained her with his handcuffs and she definitely wasn't acting out of control except asking for a phone call.

The bastard punk jerkoff cop beat her up.

One of the most horrible videos I have ever seen. The officer certainly seemed to over-react to her. He must be a control freak and I feel sorry for his wife and children.

I hope the lady is ok now and will remember, if she is ever arrested again, to just submit quietly to their orders. She would have eventually got her phone call.

The police deal with crap every day and I am sure they get hardened to it all, but they must be able to handle the stress correctly, or else they are just as bad as the criminals.

I think the officer was acting professional, she was drunk and couldn't comprehend what was going on, she thought by acting a fool and trying to get her "judge friends" on the phone she would be released, despite the two cars and a pole she hit, and then fled the scene. So what if it was your car or someone out there walking along got hit because of this stupidity. The bottom line is she though because "who she was" she was better than the rest and wanted to try to get away with it. When she tried to leave and resist the officer several things could have happened, but those decisions are left for the officer to decide in a matter of seconds. Now as far as drunks go they are more often than not beligerant and act stupid, and if the case was her nose was broke while trying to get away from the officer that was acting in a professional manner, then it happened. The bruising and blood? well anytime you drink, alcohol acts as a blood thinner, and then any facial cuts bleed heavily especially the nose, so thats not all that impressive. After seeing the video I feel that the police department acted appropriately, they kept someone from leaving under arrest, they attempted ot inform her of her rights, and adminster a breathalizer that could have exonerated her, and she refused it all. I say to the judges prosecurting , hit her with the book she is no different from anyone else out there and she could have really hurt someone! This is nothing more than a case of someone who didn't get what they wanted becasue they thought they were someone important. Furthermore, why is it now that all this is being made public being this happened in November i think it was?

If you didn't see the news about she had a broke nose that can produce those type of injuries as a doctor attests to, further more with alcohol acting like a blood thinner, you bleed more so than if you had not been drinking, and any facial trauma with an example of a cut bleeds heavily from the face because the face is very vascular, especially if her nose was broke she's gonna bleed.

You are a moron, you try to justify beating someone for no reason when the officer could've took other actions than to beat on awoman, yep big man he is huh?He is a coward and I would love for him to try that with me and for you to stick up for he you obviously must be a cop yourself who beats helpless women! You and that police department and most departments disgust me.I too was beaten for no reason by 4 250lb officers while I was on the ground (not resisting) while I was in jail because they thought they were big men, well Iwould love for them to try that one on one with me,but this is the reason I'm sueing them too,and you must be a prick of a cop too who has'nt been in jail yourself and you probably like to throw your authority around. You need to re-think your oppinion, right is right and wrong is wrong, but I hope you end up in jail and they beat you to death then see what you think and say then!People like you make me vomit!

Give me a break. Regardless of how unruly the subject is, police have the responsibility to protect her while in custody. This is unbelievable and donít be in shock when federal charges are brought up. Further, the city of city of Shreveport will pay for it. Or let me correct that, we the tax payers will pay for it. Of course, those dimwits on the city council are too busy proposing dim-witted ordinances to correct anything realistic.

A FALL WOULD NOT HAVE MADE THOSE MARKS LIKE THAT.AND IF ANYONE WATCHED THE NEWS HE WAS THE ONLY POLICE OFFICER IN THE ROOM WITH HER,SO HOW CAN SOMEONE BACK HIM UP. I HAVENT SEEN THE NEWS FOR TONGHT BUT THAT OFFICER BETTER HAVE BEEN FIRED AND PUT IN JAIL FOR WHAT HE DID.IF NOT I HOPE THE YOUNG WOMAN SUES THE SHIT OUT OF HIM AND THE DEPARTMENT.MY PRAYER GO OUT TO THE YOUNG LADY.I AM SO SORRY FOR OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT. This is definitely a sickening incident. Like another poster said earlier; I feel so sorry for his wife if he is married. I hope this piece of trash is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I hope this young lady is feeling much better.

You are the sick people, you say she was beat, but yet there is no evidence to show she was "BEAT". I am not taking sides but I can see what "evidence" has been presented thus far. I did not see one moment the officer didn't act professional despite the irrate comments from the apparantly drunk woman. You only see things from one side, you don't even attempt to see them from both. As other comments were made in other places, you can tell by watching the video that she was unsteady at several points and from her actions already you can image that when he went to "book her" she became even more irrate that she was fixing to go to jail and still didn't have her way. She made comments that he beat her.. When in reality what did she mean exactly by that? Did he take his fists and beat her? Did she get upset again and try to resist this officer thereby him having to try to control her again, and it ending up with her falling to the ground (guided or not)? You need to get your head out of the hole you are in and look a little more in depth at this issue from all sides and not judge someone on something you do not have all the facts on. This is the reason that the community hates police , heck they hate anything where they don't get what they want. This young lady should have known better than she was acting, and yes, the worst ones out there to deal with are those who are drunk and who are in the criminal arena. At what point do you think he was being unprofessional, he told her what was required to do by law and she resisted, she tried to leave (escape), he handcuffed her ( and she was still resisting), etc.etc.etc. Let this woman run over your child and then come back on here crying. She was being an ignorant drunk, and because she thought she was above the law, she thought she could get away with anything, and then while thinking that, the officer apparantly did what he was supposed to do in preventing her from leaving, and still doing his job in trying to book her. Unfortunately, neither of us was there so we cannot know for sure on what happened. From the cops viewpoint he has his version which benifits him , and she has hers that benifits her cause. So either way you look at is every side has two stories. Believe what you want and talk any trash you want. But the key is you and I both still don't know 100% for sure what occurred in that room while the camera was off (which was their procedure when they move to the booking room after she refused to submit to the test)

There ya go trying to justify yourself by saying that you weren't doing anything prior to their action. Just because they though they were big bad men? Give me a break. Don't say something that you don't have the nerve to back up, and the nerve to post the truth of the situation. By the way I am not a cop, but I can see for myself bulls**t when I see it.
