I brought my tanks and fenders in to Magic Touch on the advice of a friend (ex-friend now) to haVE THEM Painted. Kim Owens said that he had 3 cars in front of mine. I waited 2 MONTHS before I ever called him, and told him that my Sturgis trip was on hold until he got done. In the interim, I bought a motorcycle from him for $10,000 dollars. Another month later, when I FINALLY got my tanks & fenders back, that were supposed to be gunmetal blue but were black....and paid the outrageous price of $1025..but did not complain..I bought another bike from him for $7,000. Then yet another for $3500.
I did not like the bars on the 7000 dollar one for my brother so asked him to change them, fix the spongy brakes and the starter that only clicked 10% of the time. I also brought my bike in for neck bearings and to put new bulbs in the dashboard. 6 DAY and 700 dollars for that and 921 for the brakes, bars and starter fix..I had to just come get them. We had to rent a UHaul trailer to carry my brothers bike to CA on.
The REAL Harley shop here in L.A. found the crank error..."some idiot who pulled the wires through the bars shorted them inside. The brake calipers, which were never fixed but were supposed to be was bad.
When I called Jim 5 days into the simple job of putting new bars on to ask what the issue was "for the first and ONLY time I EVER asked him for a progress report", he sounded very angry to hear from me. I told him on the phone, "You sound angry Jim" and he replied "You boys hear me and get scared". I said "Im not scared Jim, you just sound angry". The next day he got in my face and said that "he could MAKE ME SCARED".
I don't want to do business with crooks...especially those that think one should be SCARED of them.
These guys are OK if you're in their club, but I would strongly advise staying away from them if you're a citizen, care about TIME your bike is fown, care if it's done right and care if the guy doing the work is a low-life, play Christian CROOK.
