Richmond, Chesterfield schools face cuts as Va. recalculates index

The hits keep coming for Virginia 's financially strapped school systems. The Virginia Department of Education recently recalculated the composite index for the 2010 and 2011 school years, which determines how much money each school system receives annually from the state.

It is a shame that our children are the ones to suffer the most when things get rough. Why don't we for get about the little lizards and insects in the wet lands of Va. and care for our children. I am 65, worked 38 years, was laid off in May. Until we get the unrightious leaders our of Washington DC, starting with the President we all will suffer, but most of all the future of America, our children.

What is happening with all the Virginia Lottery Monies that are supposed to go for education? After all, that is how getting the Lottery in Virginia passed by voters of Virginia,'It will go for education and roads'. What a Joke on Virginia voters!
