If the driver was drunk, just take him/her out and strap him/her down on 64 and let him/her learn how it feels to be hit by a car.

That is called JUSTICE!

I'm relieved the laborer is going to be ok...ref justice; if it were only that easy recidivism would be practically nil

I know this lady and she was probably drunk or stoned out on drugs. If I remember correctly, she has some mental problems.

I agree with taking the person out and doing to them what they have done to the highway worker. Maybe if we did this, people would think twice about injuring, shooting or killing others. What is wrong with people???! I don't buy off on the "mental" problems that so many are using as excuses for bad behavior and law breaking. I do think they are very self-centered and have a total disregard for human life.

I'm glad to hear the worker is ok, as the wife of one who also works on the side of Virginia's road ways 8-10 hours every day Mon-Fri. I worry about this all the time.

I hope that they ounish the Driver to the severest letter of the law possible.

I'm glad the worker is ok also. And I agree with what others are saying. An eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth.

That's stupid. What difference does it make whther the driver was drunk or not, when the person is d-e-a-d DEAD?! You think maybe they'd be a better kind of dead if the driver wasn't drunk? Like I said - Stupid.

The difference that makes it not stupid s there is always the possibility that she had a "medical emergency" and was unable to avoid the worker.(heart attack, stroke,..)

There is always a possible explanation, but the news has not reported if there are any "extenuating circumstances".

That makes a difference and why the "if", and the worker is not dead.

I don't know the worker, but I know the driver. I am so glad that the worker wasn't seriously injured, but I am glad that this happened because the driver is a very sick person. She needs serious help and maybe the only way she will get it is if she goes to prison for a while. She is very very ill. I still love her though.

Stop wishing further evil on that woman, its bad to keep kicking someone when they are down an out or even throwing more salt in a wound. You are evil.
