I agree with the writer of this article. It wasn't worth breaking your neck to go out and buy school supplies for a few cents. However, the real savings was if you went to a store like Best Buy and bought a computer. Then you would have saved about $40 on a $800 PC. It was nice if you wanted to take advantage of just not paying taxes but definitely nothing to go crazy over.
