Video: Tornado passes through Minneapolis

Tom Clark, a meteorologist from WNEP in Moosic, Penn., used his I-Phone to take video of the tornado passing a mile to his east about 2 p.m. Wednesday from the top floor of his daughter's apartment building on South Lyndale Avenue in the Uptown area of Minneapolis.

wow, i didn't know Tom and Noreen were in town. i wonder who is running the ship back in northeast PA on WNEP-TV (the same station where Paul Douglas spent his time at before coming to the twin cities, an ABC affiliate). this would be the first one that they probably saw in person (plenty on radar north and south of the wyoming valley) because the one that came thru Mountain Top, PA (missed their house but it damaged Crestwood HS as well as a major grocery store up there) wasn't seen until it was too late back in Dec of 2006. I remember that day back in 2006 and it was a rare scenario, because the models back then were saying major wind event, not tornado. the terrain actually spun that one up. here, looking at the models first look after the fact, it was saying maybe a wind event, not tornadic. but the extra spin was developed with a disturbance at ~15000 ft, not at the surface.
