Hope you're kidding.
If true, speaks volumes to me on what his forward thinking is on the future of Lockport. I honestly can't think of a scenario one could propose that defends moving ones business out of Lockport but yet want to be mayor and move Lockport forward which a main component would be building , growing and retaining commerce.
If true , this does not endear my vote very well.
This is FACT

He also moved out of his house but still owns it so he believes it's ok to hold office just owning property where you want o hold office. Remember when Frentress did it. He had no problem with it and was going to try to fight his removal, but Frentress finally resigned.

When this gets out, Turner is DONE! I am furious right now that this idiot is attacking the chamber of commerce and at the same time he doesn't think enough of Lockport to have his business here!

I thought everyone knew this already.

Yes, he did move his company from Lockport to Romeoville.
Yes, the business he owns is a mailing business (doing many political mailers).
Yes, the city did use his company for the water mailings that are going out (I believe he gave a good rate).

I have no idea if the rumor about him moving out of his lockport home is true or not, but I've been hearing it a lot lately.

I don't know how he can claim to be pro development in Lockport, just look at his business and political record.

I don't care if the city got a good rate or not this should ABSOLUTELY NOT be allowed to happen! A councilman's business profiting off the city. I have a serious problem with this.

If you have a serious problem with this, would Steve (if he became mayor) have to give up his work with the City, Chamber and local businesses? Just check out his business website.

I agree. This is a bad practice. What I don't can't figure out is why a guy running for mayor, suspected of kickbacks from Robinson, moves his business out of town, and suspected of not residing the town (owning but not living) would continue to do things of this nature. Does he think he's untouchable or is he that dumb. What happens if he becomes Mayor? All the cities mailings get funneled through his business and maybe no longer at such a "good rate"? I would think a guy in his position and with his reputation would try to stay clear of this type of activity. He seems to invite it. I just don't get it.

I would hope he would have to give up any business in which he personally profits from. I don't see a conflict with being part of the chamber.

Here he is again. How about Kelly mailing for the city, and mailing through Tom Kelly? How about his business being involved in the city? Where is the money?????????? He should have to give up his business and also show the town he lives in the city! His place of living should be known by his neighbors now and after the election. He should not be serving as an alderman if he lives elsewhere where he chooses to run his business. That takes the cake!

He needs to resign!

If Turner doesn't live in Lockport, where does he live? If Deskin had the proof where he lives then why didn't he press his challenge? Seems to me it would have been a slam dunk to finally get rid of Turner. All of this sounds like someone just building up our hopes and just dashing them as a cruel joke.

I think Turner is posting all of these posts on this thread as a joke.

Agreed. I thought he would move his business back to Lockport in the last few years for good publicity, but aparently he doesnt even care to do that. We know he's an ego maniac, ut he clearly thinks he's above proper protocol.

I think the Chamber is supposed to be made up of loal business owners, so it makes sense that Steve is on it. He probably should step down from the board of the chamber if he becomes Mayor. That being said, I would like to see our mayor and councilmen actually involved in local groups, unlike the current group.

It is Wheaton Kelly again. Never know who is watching you, Kelly. You are the cruel joke! The voters will get rid of him, oh I forgot, he will be running until he is 95. He still has thirty five yrs. to go and many elections. At least, Deskin has his business in our town, not Romeoville! Come on, Kelly, you can do better than that, little fella!

It's been a while since I've seen a chump like this Turner clown. I find it amazing that he keeps criticizing other people all day long even after he moved his business out of our town. What a hypocrite. I would never vote for that fool and anyone who associates with him will not get my vote either. That means you, Tom Kelly.

I sit in Rotary and listen to that old man bark about other people when he himself is a perverted, obnoxious, horrible person.

Kelly and Turner are a match made in heaven!

I guess this is why Turner wasn't at the State of the City today. He doesn't want to answer questions about moving his business out of Lockport.

This is one of Turner's many big, dark secrets that he doesn't want anyone to know about.

Mr. Streit would be wise to highlight this in his campaign.
