Funny how you mention "Big Wheel". Why ahs their been talk all summer about the proposals of over 25 million in repairs from Robinson, but yet nothing will come to light until after the election. So you views in your post #14 are well indeed correct. Naturally you won't get a reply from our insider informed concerned citizen.

To Chumbalone

Still waiting for this ordinance that passed 5-3 that lowered the water rate per 1000 gal or lowered the surcharge rates. Remember not increasing is not the same as lowering. Also that was presented to the other 2 districts for review as well.

Well, Well, Well. You mean Robinson is finally going to come public with their Water & Sewer improvements plan. Of course this goes against what the Ald Turner and this majority kept repeating over and over again when they got elected. So lets all attend Wednesday 11/14 6pm to see how the spin will take place. Remember it was a 29 million dollar mistake. No work was needed other than close wells 5&8 for $280,000.00 along with $18,500.00 to Robinson. We all know that was a bold face lie to get Robinson back in the taxpayers pockets. So when Robinson shows up with a 25+ million dollar plan, you can see for yourselves who was lieing.

Ok Turner and lapdogs go ahead with your usual vulgar replies, think your intimidating etc etc. Oh yes I'm Darren,Pat, Pete, Ron, Joe etc.

FED EX was NEVER considered for the ML Realty site. Look it up. The CMT proposal included a reverse osmosis system that was way to rich for this town. Colarelli whined so much when the CMT propsoal was rejected that he pushed to have a 3rd party consulting group act as a referee between the 2 proposals before the council. I guess that was not a waste of money...right !! If there were any lawsuits about water connections...I guess they came up "under the table" and were never mentioned. By the way....go down Gougar Rd. and take a good look at the WAREHOUSES being built and the water lines being run to that site. The ML Realty site WAS ALWAYS to be warehousing. If FED EX was part of any proposal....when did it ever come before the planning commission and or the city council ? CMT is gone....good riddance....deal with it already ! So are the the 3 alderman...save one...who supported that stuff.

Again, you are wrong. The CMT proposal never had a reverse osmosis, system. That was going to be to expensive, and a micro filtration was agreed upon. The water lines being run were supposed to have been run years ago with the tapon money the city got and used for other projects, then took bonds out to pay for this while in the meantime have millions in bank, according to MArynowski. At least CMT was honest and upfront about their plans. Remember, only close 5&8 save 29 million dollar mistake. What do you think the cost will be come Wednesday from Robinson. Again remember only needed to close 5&8, nothing else needed to be done. Now 2 yrs later, Robinson tells everyone all this work needs to be done. Just like when Robinson told the city years agao needed to put in 5&8 for not enought water supply. Now years later, they don't need 5&8, bet you dollar to a donut, come wednesday there will be plans for another well somewhere. Go ahead keep loving Robinson while they steal the taxpayers money.

You DO understand that the Mayor DID in fact VETO a resolution that was passed 5 to 3 by this council concerning water rates...more than once...do you not ??? If you need a resolution number..go ask the city clerk or Mr. Caneva...or better yet...the Mayor himself. Maybe go to NuVibe and ask him in front of a few folks. I'm sure he will be glad to defend his veto. In any case the rates will continue to go up according to the schedule the mayor and the 3 minority alderman support. Can't lower rates when the Mayor and 3 people put THEIR biases against those legally seated as a majority. Those 4 are just not that smart to impose their will over those that were legally seated to represent their constituents. If you think so...I do not care one bit.

I do not love anyone associated with this town except my wife and family. The micro-filtration system was still to expensive and not needed for this town. Like I said...don't make me pay for your fancy filters. The water is safe to drink...period. I could care less who fixes and maintains the water system. CMT and Robinson are professionals. Problem is the whining will not stop by those who lost out. Robinson WON and CMT LOST...deal with it. If they screw it up....they to will be booted out. Until then....just deal with it already...you are wearing yourself out agonizing and moaning all the time.

Yes there was many votes and vetoes on it. Again, there was never a vote on any ordinance to lower our rates. That was my whole point in the discussion. No matter how anyone tries to spin it, no vote was ever taken to LOWER our rates. At least it seems we can agree on that.
Don't need to ask anyone for it never existed.

What is your opinion on Robinson revealing the improvements needed, when this council stated nothing needed to be done. This was just a way for Robinson to get back into the taxpayers pocket.

The micro filtration system was the middle ground. UV which was proposed by Ald VAn Dyke, and pushed for by him, would have worked but no guarantee to meet future IEPA requirements. The water quality did not meet IEPA and was not safe to drink. There were other wells alrady closed to try and meet the safe drinking standards required by the IEPA. Do I agree with IEPA and tuff standards, when the water coming inot our home was safe, but coming out of the ground was not. Even Lake Michigan water does not meet the new standards, thus Chicago will be spending hundreds of millions to meet the standard.

Robinson did not win the bid, for they did not go our for BID to replace CMT. CMT did win the bid during the previous council, when it was decided to get rid of Robinson. Robinson did bid at that time and LOST. The past council went looking elsewhere for performance issues from Robinson, the same thing that is happening now. Even some on the majority are beginning to question their billing. There would be no complaints had this majority went out for bid for a engineering firm to replace CMT and Robinson bid and won fair and square.

We should as taxpayers not have to sit back and wait for Robinson to screw it up, costing us the taxpayers more money, simply to repay someone on the council's favors they were helped out with. Yes Robinson is a professional firm, just like any other firm out to make a buck, just be upfront and honest is all we can ask.

Sadly with this ocuncil who was elected on honesty, that is to much to ask for.

Hopefully you are clear now on the issues.

Time will tell how the taxpayers feel, when election time gets closer, and the facts are revealed time and time again during public meetings for all to hear. No sense in showing all cards now, to early to firure out how to spin. All we can hope for is a complete, repeat complete overhaul of the council. Re-elect no one for any position regardless of majority/minority. And whatever anyone can do, DO NOT VOTE FOR THE HEAD COWARD, not even as a janitor if had to run for that position.

Enjoy your family as we all do.

Just remember this about tomorrow's meeting. Every single pipe, connecting joint, and the labor to put the pipe in the ground costs money. Every single road that needs blacktop, rock, concrete costs money.

Had the Turner gang been successful "reducing the water rates" then how could the gang pay for any of improvements?

Remember this is the same gang that knew about Fentress leaving town last summer. This is the same gang that tried to protect Fentress from a police investigation. This is the same gang that just can't be trusted.

Most important, this is the same gang that will be reduced to a super minority of two after April's election. Once that happens we can only hope that the mayor (whether it's Dev or someone other than Turner) ignores them for the next two years.

We should also remember, a bond was alaready taken out to apy for roads and water etc. Of course after the voters approved a tax hike to pay as you go, but thats another story. The main thing to remember is this council made it very clear in the beginning it was a 29 million mistake for no work was needed. Lets lower our rates. Of course now that Robinson is back at the taxpayers pocket without bids, suddenly we will need 25+ million worth of work to be done, work that was already identified by CMT who bid and put a plan together and paid to do that work. Now we pay Robinson to study the work and come up with another plan. Hopefully someone on the majority will grow a backbone and start to question Robinson.
