It is BECAUSE I am informed about the republican party that I refuse to vote for a single candidate affiliated with the gop. I disagree with pretty much every single plank in its platform; why on earth would I ever want to vote for one of its candidates? If the gop ever stops kowtowing to the right-wing fundies, then who knows. but as it stands, they are simply not an option for me.

You are informed about the republican party. Your mind seems to be a political waste land. Try informing yourself about the US Constitution. Try informing yourself about the limits on government in that esteemed document. With every post you show why you and people like you are part of the problem. I don't care about political parties. They hate equally, but that's the only thing they do equally.

An educated voter votes for a candidate. A lazy voter votes for a party. You are in the latter group.

I say if we ejected those fine states of california, Nevada, Massachusstes, New York, Maine, Delaware, Rhode Island, washington, oregon just to name a few, this country would not be in the shape its in now. Since it has been the democrats who destroying this country with extreme liberalism.. as who as a group are pathological liars. They do not love this country, they hate everything about this country. I say that these people should be brought up on treason and be dealt as perscribed by law..
Aren't most of the states listed governed by a Republican???? I know for sure that CA is with the governator!!!!!!!!!!

Please re-read my post. I did not complain about people who disagree with me or vote differently. I pointed out that I vote based on my principles. Given their party's current platform, NO republican candidate can ever represent those. Why, therefore, would I ever vote for one? What I disagree with is the idea that one should vote for a candidate who does not represent your beliefs merely to keep from voting a straight ticket.

Then do not post if you do not want anyone to disagree with you! That's what it is all abou isn't it? Or do you think we should all just step in behind you like a bunch of lemmings. There are a lot of free thinkers out there who will vote for a good candidate (Republican or Democrat) but people like yourselves are closed minded, self centered, and do not truly care about the country.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I am quite familiar with the US Constitution. I think it is the republicans who need to re-acquaint themselves with that document. I also read news and political commentary from a variety of sources and daresay that I am far more informed about current events than most.

If the republican party can ever stop kowtowing to right-wing fundies, then I might be able to consider voting for a republican candidate.(I might add that in years past, I have voted for republicans -- but that was years ago before the party got hijacked.) By the way, there are a few democrats for whom I will not vote; however, there is rarely a viable independent candidate.

To those who have marked my earlier posts with "nuts" and "clueless" icons: how sad that you don't think that one should vote based on principles and values. My vote reflects my core beliefs; that is NOT going to change.
You must have voted for the Socialist in the white house and the socialist Senator Turbin-Durbin

All I want to know is, how in the name of all that's good can we get rid of every last democrat in Will County and the nation for that matter. It's sucking the life out of us!
And what about the f***ed up, smarta**, republican party. They need to go too. Both parties in IL at the state and local levels are inferior. I am sick of hearing how good Will County (especially the rural areas) are when it comes to lower crime, better jobs, more work, etc. If I hear that one more time (especially from a GOP member of this s*** a** county), I will be furious!

Ok lets get this straight. I was not in court. I was there with someone else. My issue is with judges who I observered going over the edge because someone had a piece of gum stuck in the side of their mouth. Or because someone is reading a book while they are waiting for someone else who is in court. They are just crazy with the position. I am NOT talking about the person who enters court with an attitude and needs to be told to get a new life. Judge Steven White (who while working as an Outreach Counselor I spent time with) is a great judge. He can be very tough but also can show at least a small amount of respect to people. There is a difference. I have had it with people in general who believe if you make a mistake, that you then can be treated like a dog. If you show no respect then you should get none!!!! But, lets be at least be some what smart. And, you are right about the democrats. The one in the White house is going to kill us.
During a recent court date I encountered the the same thing. She was one mean judge! Yelled at just about everyone in the room for something or another. And for piddly things....like rolling eyes, whispering in the courtroom, Not standing straight, etc. But even though she was crazy rude......I thought she was fair. Sensible. Saw through the bs. Maybe I'd feel differently if I had lost.....

Speaking of judges, did you know that they get to pick their own bailiff's and some have picked their own family! How is that right?

Will I've heard stories about Judge Braun, boy he seems to be one inconsistent Judge. I have specific examples but I don't want to sound defamatory. Not all Judges in Will County apply the law in a correct fashion, they DO get their issues overruled by the 3rd District Appellate Court. Just read the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin on a regular basis and you'll see overruling of Will County Judges all the time!

There are too many posts I want to reply too. Clearly, Will County (like all other red counties) is trouble. I have said and spoken this truth several times over the last two months. There should be no confusion whatsoever.

The republicans (especially in rural Will County, away from the bad areas of Joliet) are liars. They are the ones that entice and invite former Cook County and southern Americans to live in this county.

The republicans in this county, as well as Grundy, Kankakee, Kendall, Ford, Iroquois, etc. lie about: the higher standards of living, supposed "benefits" and "good things" that come from rural living, lower taxes, lower bills, better business, better municipal services, economy, job creation, better schools, fair law enforcement, religion, and so forth.

I don't believe anything the Will County GOP says at all. By the way, taxes in Homer Glen are very high. Almost as high as typical, inner Cook County taxes. Look at your property taxes and water bills.

Whatever democrats that are in Will County are weak-minded, Chicago "libs." They don't stand a chance outside Cook County.

Typical behavior of Will County residents and employees. I guess all that preaching in her right-wing, Bible-thumper church makes her act and behave that way. Judge Judy (upon reminder) only yells if you are dishonest, unkempt, and disorderly. A judge should have a calm, but serious and alert approach to presiding over cases. Which judge was this? Let me consult her record.
