By pleading guilty before Judge Powers Dewald once again avoids a DUI on his record. The appearances are that this is his first offense, however, having interviewed many, many local residents, man of whom attended school with Dewald, it is clear that he is the Village drunk. He has hid behind his local police department until this time when there was a persistent witness who telephoned 911.

The Times Weekly has published articles on Dewald and his disregard for the law since July,2007. At some point, perhaps, authorities will take an interest into this man who stole from his own campaign chest by falsifying at least one loan and probably many others.

DeWald also used his Village issued Visa card to entertain himself and others in night clubs and pizza joints to the tune of some $13,000 for which he has not been held accountable.

He fired a building inspector who blew the whistle on a builder for serious code violations; Dewald fired him and publicly instructed residents to disregard him becaused "he is crazy". The builder, Lakewood Homes, contributed nicely to Dewald's election campaign fund.

I guess he will have to kill a family of five in a fiery crash while completely naked and drunk beyond belief before the national news media will catch on and a federal investigation will be called for. Yes, most politicians are corrupt but that does not excuse the wreckless behavior. I think good old Freddie needs to be visited by the Ghost of Christmas Future one of these nights.

actually it is time for us residents to call the F.B.I and voice our concerns because I really doubt James Glasgow would look into the mayor activities

Interesting that 2 of the 3 announced candidates have things brought up from the past. Could this be a candidates way of trying to gain ground without having to actually do anything? Sure sounds like it to me.
