Do Your Civic Duty,

I wasn't the one that was quoted in the paper she was. She is the one running for office not me. I think you need to get your facts staight.
Educate Yourself FIRST

Frankfort, IL

While I applaud someone's desire to "get involved and make a difference", many running for an elected office lack any understanding of what is truly involved once they are elected.

They are equipped only with "good intentions" and what they perceive to be "common sense". Woefully unprepared for the task, the tangle of laws, ordinances, appropriations, contracts...

Do us all a favor (as well as yourself), and invest the time to become an "expert" before you ask us to turn multi-million dollar budgets over to you.

If you are unwilling to educate yourself before you are elected, why should anyone believe that you will do it afterwards.

In the meantime, the Lions, Kiwanis, etc... are all in need of people who want to make a difference...
