Mollusk filtration project on Snail Lake hits snag

When you've waited two years for your lake to refill, what's another day? Shoreview city staffers and contracted engineers encountered some last-minute glitches while firing up a $550,000 filter system Thursday meant to clean water of zebra mussels as it is pumped from Sucker Lake to Snail Lake.

Real great design, that an electrical box is within reach of and vulnerable to spray from a defective valve. Good foresight. :: Sheesh.::
