Don't worry, there are two sets of laws; one for normal people and another for the rich and connected and these sleazy lawyers stick together!

I beat my DUI, I'm not connected, it cost me about 10K in lawyer fees and I had to do all the hard work up front during the traffic stop. The bungling officer's criminal malfeasance in their duties, went along way in assisting my endeavors of unraveling their negligent police work as well.

But anywhoo, everyone has a right to due process, a right to confront their accusers and the right to have the case brought against them proven in court before of a trier of facts and a jury. Additionally, if you can't afford an attorney to guide you though excercising your rights, I don't mind paying taxes to help pay for one that is appointed by the courts. Unfortunately, the caveat is "buyer beware" when it comes to "free" legal services, but there's always master card and visa if wan't to get your own good lawyer.

Do not know the saying of court, does anyone know about this. Anne Bremner admits drinking and taking meds before DUI arrest so has court been harsh or as the law for rich differs it has been harsh, what happened?

It's quite possible the courts were more harsh on her for being an attorney as I wouldn't have any idea why a person would admit to anything much less make statements like that in court unless it had some bearing on her license to practice law or her status as an officer of the courts.
