Henry Terry is a law abiding citizen. His reputation speaks for itself. What are you against free thinking intelligent men who stand up for their rights? Your ignorance for the civil rights of citizens speaks volumes. Also, get your facts straight, the Division of Criminal Justice Services does not recognized the Village of Patchogue's so called peace officers or constables. They were not trained, even if they presented some phony certificates to convince morons like you. These "crowns" were defrauding the public and government agencies. What is this a Banana Republic? Glad I don't live in the United Republic of Patchogue First. Safe in Patchogue, not if you are working class, old, or a minority!

I think the mayor of Patchouge should give a gun to everyone who shops there. Then, nobody would even look at anybody crooked, and everyone would have respect for all. It works in Texas!
Security guards who never made it into a police department have no business carrying firearms - period. If they feel that they are unsafe without the weapon, then get a job a Wal-Mart.
There is a police precinct in Patchouge, so let the REAL COPS do their job.
And what are these guys complaining about? I've never seen them in Patchogue. The mayor should spend the money on people who will do foot patrol on Main Street, not guys who ride around eating doughnuts.
...... AMEN!

1. I have lived in the Village of Patchogue for over 30 years. Not once have I ever felt unsafe. And I walk alot; to town, to the parks, to the dock. For some odd reason, Patchogue seems to have a bad reputation and I don't know why. It is a great place to live. Lovely homes, nice parks and waterfront, great restaurants. I could go on. So we have a large Hispanic population. SO what. They are nice families buying homes and taking care of them. They work hard. What's wrong with that?
2. Henry Terry and his lawsuit. Great. Take them to court and cost the village hundreds of thousands of dollars. Who do you think is going to pay that. You and me and the other village residents. I personally like the constables in the village. I have called them several times late at night and they always come
and why are you calling them late at nigth lospatchogue and dont try to tell me its a great place open your eyes

Although I am not a fan of the highly paid SCPD, I don't think that the Village needs constables with full police powers and firearms. This is certainly overlapping jurisdiction. I would be more than gratified with we can only pay for one or the other and say village taxpayers some money.
