1929-1931: Henry Hanrahan is the first land developer of “Farmingville Gardens.” He forms the first Fire Department for his Farmingville Gardens development. He purchased a firetruck and housed it in a corrugated iron shed located on the southeast side of Hanrahan Avenue. This shed is now located behind the old Bussing/Keibel farmhouse.

Where is the Farmingville Chamber of Commerce to help preserve this? Oh right, no money to be made on saving the history of this town.
