Welcome to Crookhaven. If you are not a republican, you can't work for the Town. In fact if you want a job on the Town, you better suck up and go to these Big Dollar Republican Dinners. REFORM!

He is bringing up the Hatch Act, that is no politicking on the job. I don't know much about these kind of things, but isn't steering work towards vendors that give to his son's campaign also politicking on the job? How ironic.

To the political voice of the democratic party on Long Island, Newsday. What happened to the worthy news of the scandal caused by Gov. Spitzer against Bruno? It appeared this morning and then was suddenly removed together with all the worthy and unflatering comments of Spitzer.? I think I know, just doing your job as biased spokesman for the democratic party, as if we did'nt already know.!!!

Hey Paul, first all, it is not a scandal, and if you call this a scandal, what do you call the Scooter Libby debacle, and second, it is all over the news.
Sorry, you think it is front page news, but it is not.

But what should be on the front page everday but isn't is the faces and names of soldier who continue to die because of Bush lousy team of advisers and intelligence gatherers.

If you are to blame Spitzer for his aides decisions, you have to blame Bush for his team of idiot's actions.

The $$$ involved was peanuts for the
auto repair business's involved.

Any smaller divided jobs to other's
wouldn't get you priority quality
repairs.Better to have six good repair shops, than twelve with six
that get failing grade.
Furthermore....if work was given to
thirty, fifty, etc shops, just what kind of service would you get?
You would also have to keep track of
fifty shops making repairs.

Disgrace then, and still a disgrace to
read about now!

they are ALL crooked, no matter what party is in charge. and this geezer has no complaint - after all, he was only there himself because of the politics of his own party. anyone who works for town or county government knows, whichever party is in at the moment usually tosses out the former parties' people and puts in their own. Incidentally, it usually NEVER has anything to do with capability or qualification-i.e, former FEMA Secretary Brown- he was there because of a Bush political appointment and was unqualfied-hence look how Katrina was handled, no one who knew what to do was in charge. pathetic.

First Thogy, the Spitzer scandal is a real one, while the scooter Libby issue is a non scandal clevery manipulated into appearing to be a real one. But to get to a really important question, how can you and so many others like you direct such hatred at our president in the war on terror, while giving a pass to our blood thirsty Islamic enemies who are bound by their interpetation of sacred law to destroy us? Comment, please.

Let me try that one.

Because there is no such thing as a war on an idea.

It is mind numbing to think that ANYONE has bought into such garbage. GWB has caused as many deaths as many dictators. Some estimates say a half million dead in Iraq alone. Almost daily, civilians are bombed in Afghanistan. Little of this makes the US news.

The reasons for the wtc attack, including US troops in KSA and blind support for Israel's atrocities were spelled out clearly. The US reasons for attacking Iraq, on the other hand, were a barely credible series of lies, half truths and deliberate distortions.
