Do you know how long it takes to even get to the chair,he'll sit in prison for 15-20 years before he's even executed.

Well this was definitely premeditated murder so he will get the death sentence. Let him enjoy his hero days in prison.

I agree, the way it looks right now no one will go to prison.

To much inside info, strong possibility it was a fellow officer.
Who else would have the information needed to carry this out that well. By USING A "POOL CAR" who else would know what he was driving.

Not to mention no ballistics using a smooth bore shot gun.

I bet if you started with the cops crying the most and worked down.

No one would have dreamed Donner in Cali would have done what he did.

Now I wonder if they will execute one of their own like the Police Chief said he would love to do.

If my family member was gunned down and I said what McCubbin said on the news I would be charged with wanton endangerment and terroristic threatening.

The culture of if I have a badge I do as I please will one day come to an end, but I know not in my life time.

In a perfect world every life would have equal value, but that is not the case.

In the revolution patriots were called terrorists, when in reality it was all the had to resist oppression, if the British had won they all would have been scape goated.

If you choose to become a LEO, you should rise above the THUGGISH attitude of " I will kill them to even the score" and seek to bring them to a Court of Law and not hold Court in the street.

My heart goes out to the family as does my prayers.

How in the world would you assume I'm black from what I type?
I'm not black, I'm not sure where Nelson county is, and I also am not a teacher.
Also not male.
Just someone saw the news about the officer and checked topix in the area. It's easy to ruffle feathers in ky.

yep...where was his bullet proof vest? They know who done it. Ellis wasn't born in nelson county...he would be considered an outsider...deal with extreme caution to all of the corrupted rulers in nelson county.

evidently they didn't give him their book on who to police and who is considered untouchable.

how can a entire police force only come up with $1K dollars as an reward for clues?????

That right there said it all....they couldn't chip in to help their fellow 'brother' whom died while in uniform????

hell, they scrape up more money for info on drug dealers than a 'honorable' officer?
i agree

<quoted text> Boone deserves to be shot unarmed or in the back by a cop either. You have but to Google police brutality . Citizens should not fear law.
I know police brutality. I am a victim of it. I have testified against a cop for shooting someone in the back. And I wasnt breaking the law then. The cop was when he brutalized me in another state. I do fear cops if they walk up to me and try to intimidate me. So far in Nelson County I really havent had one try to scare me.

I have only heard good things about him from people that know him personally. I have never dealt with him. I abide by the law and have no need for any contact with him.

First my thoughts are with the family of this officer. Second , I would bet that the person behind this , not just the person that killed him , but the ones that planned and took it through , he knew. This is a officer either knew too much , or was apart of the underworld that is in the law enforcement community. I hope he was trying to make a difference. If so , The FBI will get to the bottom who did this , and then clean out the DOGS that have and are wearing the BADGE today. If he was a part of the underworld , we will see more of this in the feature. The Company deserve what they get. The vast majority wearing the badge and protecting us all deserve our respect , and justice to find out who did this. Time will tell. If , it goes unsolved, it was one of their own. Respect to the good ones....

From the NC Gazette

"Motorists who exited the ramp prior to the attack had driven around the debris."

Could have just been a random killing..

Mindless violence is never right from cop or criminal alone, hut how can some of us care when the police have swore loyalty to the government and not the people?

What a stupid dumb ass no caring jerk. I can only hope some day you are in desperate need of help with a shotgun pointed at your head begging for your life and theKSP laughing as they cheer the shooter on. POW POWPOW POW you are dead. Your family should be so proud!

I made one reply to you. If you dont like a different opinion and have to berate people then maybe you should click the red X at the top of the screen. If you cant play with the big dogs you better not get off the porch. Oh and by the way..may be if you were more civil I would not have said a word to you.
