When government replaces the family we are in trouble.

Now instead of a family base and the support of a faith based entity we have big brother. So we have raise a generation of young that have replaced the family with handouts and entitlements.

These recipients have become dependent and rely as the structure of the family has deteriorated. The father role is missing in most of these and what is sad is that this has effected the blacks the most.

And currently we have a President who has seen more people on food stamps and less people working than ever before.

This is not an easy fix, but if you believe we are going in the right direction you are part of the problem. Government is not there to be the father nor to feed you.

The church is the answer and it is local and accessible.

Government: Get out of my life!
Thanks for your passion on the subject. And thank you, even more so, for stating your exact beliefs with facts and enthusiasm. I see disdain for government, but I must say you would be fantastic in office.

My son has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. What people dont realize is this damage is permanent. The baby just doesnt sober up or get detoxed from some drug then go home. This causes organic brain damage. He is 21, cant even begin to tie his shoes, read a clock...forget it.

The only solution is pre-natal education. Most of the damage is done before the mother even knows she is pregnant. If she contiunes to party after she knows, then shame on her.

To Sad: so sorry for your loss! I have lost a child also. I lost my child when she was several months old. It is something we will carry for the rest of our lives. I pray that God will give you peace and comfort and bless you with a beautiful, healthy baby! You sound like you will make a great mother!

Your son? Is that because you were drinking when you were pregnant?
