I wish they did. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Bob was doing a great job but wanted to retire as president. 20 years of service was long enough and he certainly earned it. Unfortunately no one was asking for the helm even though he asked many if they would take it.

I always wished Frank Fugerino could have worked with the MBPOA, I always thought after Bob he would have been a good president, but as we all know instead of working within an institution and learning the ropes he demanded authority and tried to take what wasn't his before his time. He's always been a bit premature.

Sorry I'm getting off point.

Bob was looking for a successor but no one wanted to follow that wonderful hardworking man, those shoes to fill! No one wanted to be compared to Bob the way Bob was compared to Jan. It is quite an unfair what the people of this area do to the ones in Public positions. Bob knew he was going to have to be president for another two years and train someone during that time. He was thinking about Mike Kobasuik who I wholeheartedly agree is a fine man and would make an admirable president. He is a legacy to boot! His father was a good fair president and good man also.

Instead of going along with what was planned, and without talking to members or directors, Allen, at the last possible moment someone could throw their hat in for candidacy, challenged Bob. This broke Bob's heart. Literally. No one else was prepared to announce a candidacy so Allen won by default. He's sneaky like that. You'll see.

Allen was put on the Board because he said he never uttered those words about that disabled child and Bob believed him. Later while drunk, Alan confessed that he did make the "joke" without remorse. Bob always saw the good in people and wanted to believe everyone could be who they said they were. He also believed in taking responsibility for actions, saying he was sorry and was the first to forgive. Allen is not that way. He sees weakness in people and instead of trying to help them, he tries to destroy them. He is a sad pathetic little man but you know that already.

I feel sorry for Bill Biondi. He was always an honorable man but since he has surrounded himself with snakes, I question his integrity. I don't like to feel this way about my Mayor and I hope Mr. Biondi drops the lawsuit against the MBPOA so this community can heal.

If the village wins the lawsuit there shall never be peace. We all still have to live together. No one is going to "shut-up and go away" we have to find a way to coexist. i truly believe that giving up the lawsuit is the only way to create a better Mastic Beach Village. Mr. Biondi has to be the leader we all hope and wish he will become.
Thank you

Character Assassination. Saying Alan usurped the authority of the board is ridiculous. Are you going to say there was no vote by the board to accept his appointment? If there were any reservations, why were they not brought to light? And as far as "Stash" Kobasuik, if he wanted to run, he should have.

It's convenient to say Bob didn't know about the bad joke Alan made, at the child's expense, when he was chiding village officials about not putting a sign on his block. The comment was recorded and posted for all to hear, including Bob and the board of directors too! Yet he was still installed as MBPOA president.

He stepped down for a reason. And today is July 1st, this is going to be a hot month, especially around the 27th.

That was a tear jerker (not really). Asking a judge to enforce a contract that you have agreed to is in my opinion the utmost in service to the people of this community. You have been a caretaker...that is all, you do not own the peoples property any more than a landscaper owns his customers property. We the people want to see this community move forward , we want to escape the deathgrip of the all too powerful slumlord lobby. How sad a commentary to see continued vicious attacks agaist the ideals of a small local government all so that a few weak-minded , power hungry individuals can retain their so- called power and status.

i bet there wasn't any thing on them that mattered other than the public info that anyone can go and look at. If you haven't noticed, the Board at the MBPOA doesn't seem too worried about any of the accusations being thrown at them. Why? Because none of them are true. You all keep saying they are "getting rich" at the members expense. HOW? No one is getting rich and no one cares about your lies.

but yet two short month after he became president, the board demanded that he resign. Shows what kind of " character" he really has.
The 27th? Would that be the day when the judge grants the MBPOA another extension? You do know that the boating season will be over even before this gets heard by the judge? And what's the damage IF the village wins against the MBPOA? Two thousand dollars? WOW! That may "BANKRUPT" the POA!!! OH the HORRAH!!!!

If this is how you feel happy, I feel sorry for the pathetic life you lead. Go volunteer your time and clean up MB, it looks like sh!t. But what else is new? Our "highway" department really sucks.

its not VILLAGE haters. It's VISION TEAM haters. BIG difference.
One thing none of you get. We don't hate the village, we hate the lying Vision Team who hire friends and family. Gary's family is all over the village. Most employees are friends or members of the mbvec. Our own " building inspector", who isn't qualified to be one, was choosing over a REAL, LICENSED building inspector. Gail hired her husband to handle PR for the village. She also got Alan some made up position just to get him in the village. THOSE are the things we hate, not the village.
But, it's like talking to wall. None of you get it because you all want the power. Problem is, if youre in the government, you work for us. Another thing King Gary doesn't get.

I heard each board member would be subject to a $2,000 fine. I know it's unlikely the judge will decide this case soon and it may well be after boating season. But you are confusing this case with the village court case where you said the DA was upset the case was delayed again. Good luck getting a permit to build an accessory structure on a lot without a primary structure. Violating a stop work order, are you not aware that the judge could also order you to remove the illegal structure (including the hurricane straps).
