She's made sure that it's going to be hard to get rid of her. She refuses to share member information, she is the only one who can and does contact the membership. My husband demanded an inquiry into her actions at the last board meeting. Next thing we know, we get a letter in the mail notifying the membership that there will be an inquiry on Tuesday May 27th at 7:00 at the library into a BOARD MEMBER. (My husband, because he's questioned the things she's done and said) The only way we can get her out is to vote her out with a 2/3's vote. In order for that to happen, people are going to have to start calling their neighbors and friends and getting them to join or if they're already a member, to get them to come to this meeting. Plus they need to get members to come to this site and start reading about what's going on.

Plus from what I understand there are still members who are loyal to Dominic Licatta and will vote whatever way he tells them. He is the spin-doctor and is very good at throwing out rumours and twisting things to fit his agenda. Delia has been a good pupil for him as well as Bob DeBona and Kate Browning. Talk about unsavory characters.

Let me clarify this further. It has come to our attention that not all of the membership received this letter. In speaking with some of the members we know, we have had several tell us they never received a letter notifying them of this Inquiry. I guess only the people who are going to vote my husband out were invited, personal friends of Dominic and Delia. I also know of people who sent in applications and checks to join this association and their checks have not been cashed, thereby ensuring that they will not be able to attend and vote at this meeting. It just keeps getting lower and dirtier.

First of all, the 5 mile limit is ONLY if it doesnt coincide with an existing town, or school district. THIS NEEDS TO BE A VILLAGE FOR ALL OF US, not divide us to some rich guys desire to be better than everyone. does he really think that will actually fix anything? We can incoporate the entire area covered by the school district into a village so the costs incurred will be much less per person, our town problems will be fixed for everyone, our tax base will include all of our commercial properties...etc. etc.. etc...

Dahlia is a flaming idiot. We as a community need to come together to get rid of the fool. She degrades our community by her shear existance. She DOES NOT live here. She posts from MASTIC not Smiths Point. Her business is going down the tubes, she gets into everyone elses business, she cant spell or write if you have seen her emails, she is power hungry and controlling. Her poor husband. If I was a member who didn't receive a letter about the meeting, I would go to the meeting anyway and demand to know why I wasn't notified. Also for people who sent in applications and checks which have not been cashed, thus preventing them from voting, I would be calling Delia every single day and ask why hasn't the check been cashed and if she says she never received it I would make arrangements to meet her anywhere she wants to hand deliver the check to her. You have to stay several steps ahead of an evil person like Delia. Don't fold, fight her or you will live to regret it when she controls everything.

I have spoken to several members who did not receive letters who absolutely plan on being there to ask why and they will be bringing their neighbors and friends who are members. It sounds to me like Delia is not cashing the checks of people that she doesn't want to vote. That is why it is vitally important that people who sent in checks and they haven't been cashed yet, to get in touch with Delia right away and demand to meet with her and give her another check so therefore she can't say that people can't vote. She is counting on being able to control the vote and you people can't let her do that. She is really a scary person. But look who she learned from!!

Well here's an update....my husband emailed Delia last night requesting the membership info per legal advice, which as I understand it she must comply with under Roberts Rules and the by-laws. Her response was have your attorney contact me. He emailed her again stating that he did not need to have his attorney contact her, and asked if she was refusing to give this information to him. There has still been no response to this last email. This is how she has control of everything. She sends out emails without the boards knowledge and hides what is going on in the association, only trickling out what she wants them to know. If she doesn't have anything to hide, why the unwillingness to be open and forthright? This was supposed to be an open board and membership, which they all, including Delia, agreed to in the beginning. This refusal to his request is in direct violation of the by-laws and Roberts Rules and is grounds for removal as President.

Ok, he got a response - She is "protecting the membership from him" - more like she's protecting her propaganda tool. How many people got a mailing from the association yesterday with a ballot in it? We didn't get it, because she knows this is against the by-laws. I strongly urge members to write on this ballot "This is against the by-laws" and mail it back to her. No nominations have been taken, no-one has had the opportunity to run against her "chosen", no meeting has been held. If you are a member of this association, you should really be concerned by this. After my posting yesterday and my husbands conversation with the interim vice-president, an email went out to members asking if they didn't receive the inquiry meeting notice - so we know she's reading this and trying to cover herself. Too late Delia, it's just a matter of time before you're out.

Is it legal according to Roberts Rules to mail ballots to people instead of calling a meeting to order and then allowing voting to take place? It sounds like Roberts Rules have been thrown away and Delia's Rules have taken over.

Anyone could print off a hundred of these and mail them back, there's absolutely nothing legal about these. We are no longer in an association, we are now in a dictatorship...all hail Delia-Saddam Hussein KcKernan or is it Delia-Adolf Hitler-McKernan, since she's made derogatory remarks against my husband being jewish? What's next, remarks about me because I'm half Korean or remarks about the Hispanics, Italians, etc.? There is just no end to the deplorable and dispicable things that are being said and done.

When i initially started this thread, it was with the intentions that all members, both potential and current, would get some truth as to what the community felt about this village venture, as well as the closed door sessions regarding the dealings with the Holiday Corp. Such a shame to see how dirty this has become. Dahlia called me "3" times yesterday in a 5 minute period, asking why I have delved into her personal life.(there were witnesses to these calls). More like yelling and demanding answers. First of all, I only asked questions regarding the true intentions behind this push for a village. I never got personal with her. If a person, when in a position of athority becomes billigerent when asked honest questions, then she has made herself a target, and should not divert the questions with personal attacks. This is deflection - nothing more, nothing less. I have never made personal attacks against you Dahlia - you obviously pissed off other individuals, with not only slandering other people in this thread, but also your sheer arrogance. Were you diplomatic and transparent, this blog would not exist. Some soul searching would be good therapy for you.

Well that's what happens when you're busy putting on a dog and pony show everyday - eventually you start to believe your own lies. She suffers from a persecution complex, i.e...if you dare to ask questions or not agree with her, you are immediately labled the "enemy" and accused of attacking her. Then she starts attacking you with nasty emails, phone calls, slander, defamation of character, whatever it takes to make herself look like a victim. It doesn't matter what you actually said or did, she has completely changed everything to make you look like the bad guy and she's poor helpless Delia, being attacked for no reason. I know I am not a member of the civic however I think if I were I would be trying to get as many people who are anti-Delia to a meeting to band together to get rid of her and her illegal ways of running your group. You just can't complain on this site and think that will cause changes, because it won't. You need a show of force. That may require so behind the scenes meetings to plan "your attack" but do whatever you need to before she destroys your group completely.

We received an email this morning that was sent out to the membership stating that the association was "under attack" by my husband. This is absolutely not true, another lie to add to the over-flowing list. This association and this community is filled with honest, hardworking people. My husband is and has been trying to protect these people from someone who is dishonest and self-serving. I have asked him several times to just resign, but he loves this community and this association and refuses to stand by while someone who doesn't even live here destroys it. There are other people besides us who are working behind the scenes to reveal what has been going on.

I am the husband Jenn speaks of. Delia is destroying this association like Dominck Licatta did when he threw out the last president in a coup. Delai was in this association 3 months and becomes president on a by law that Dominick illegally changed. Mr Licatta is no longer and has not been a member of thsi association as he was voted out by the prior Board. That is fact. Delai say this association is under attack? its her that is being questioned , not this association. She tried once before to have me thrown out back in Feb for asking her a question. Now again for the same. My Constitution rights are being infringed on. This "woman" has trampled on them and will pay the price legally. One word of advice, do not open your mouth if you cant afford to pay for it. I have heard lie after lie and it is sickening how she has destroyed the goals of this association. We have no credibility because of her and her relationship with Dominick Licatta and now Bob DiBonna who is being investigated once again for alleged wrongdoing. Who else is in that investigation??? Kate Browing and Delia Mckernan. What a surprise, She has lied to the membership and the Board as far bakc as Febuary. Her agenda is two things and two only, incorporate to make her property more valuable so she can build, which she stated she started but hasnt done yet , you can see for yoursefl, I beleive it is 39 Margin dr in the estates, which has NO BUILDING permit but she says she started building in the SSP (LIAR) and #2, she is using this association as a stepping stone for a run at Keith Romaines seat. That is fact and very well known around town hall and the political circles. Kate is grooming her for that. I question how a civic president makes polital contributions to Kate Browning and then Kate Browning allegally tries to give our association grant money from the county that we legally cant receive?. Thats why she wants me out. Im the one that called for an inquiry into her actions and she brings one against me out of retaliation. She now plays the "im being attacked" role to the association in emails which she conviently hides to the Board member who have the right to these addresses. Why??? to Hide to the membership what is reallly going on. I will besending out emails to members as i ahve approx. 50 email addresses of members. they have the right to know what this woman IS hiding now and in the past. thank you and please vote her out may 27th, our day of independence from the wrath of delia McKernan and Dominick Licatta. Let us move on and do what this association should be doing. I can certainly understand your frustration with everything that has been going on but please don't give up the fight. You need to hang in there and make sure the Delia is out of there soon. That will end the ego-trip that she is on since then she will be what she has always been, a nobody. She ought to go back to trying to build up her business instead of trying to ruin our community.
