I didn't think that, someone else did. The County is looking to buy land/homes from residents in the wet lands. And, where was the line item for a street sweeper in the budget? I don't recall seeing that item. But we all know all Gary does is spend, spend, spend.
Cant wait for next years tax bill, it should be "cool" also.

I think they should buy Gary a new broom and let him do the work.
The irony of this thing is that Stiriz tells us that the state, town and everyone else cant do the job right and only he can.
Maybe that's why not a thing gets done in this village because nobody knows what they are doing?
Just spend and talk, can't wait for March.

Maybe the acquisition of the sweeper will get those who complain about the lack of sweeping to stop. On second thought, it won't . They will just bitch about something else. I think my tax bill is not going to be any higher because of the village. But the county and town is broke and the school is always looking for more money.

If Gary didn't piss off the TOB and demand that they do every thing at the same cost after we became a village, we could have had them do it and not waste all this money on equipment. We all know who is very bad for the village, vote him out and get rid of his family also. Take the hint Gary, we don't want you any more.

If you want to know the truth, knock on mastic beach village residents doors. I was pro village but now? Get in your car and see mastic beach and then if a tax increase is what you want get a village. My taxes went up $375.00, while in shirley most were below $200.00, remember, you can't get something for nothing It all sounds so good till it happens. GOOD LUCK! Im moving next week out of state.

good luck on your move, but you cannot say your taxes went up because of the village. The reason for the increase is School Taxes, and mine went up $200 on a house assessed over $2,000.

sorry Brady, but the street sweeper is not in the budget. If we bought it, our taxes go up to pay for it. Or are people giving away street sweepers now? Where can I get my FREE street sweeper that they are handing out?

no, not Carol. But seriously, you don't think that we will need to pay for it and all the gas is free? How about the guy driving it? Is he working for free? Or will the machine pay for its self? I want to follow your "logic" that this wont cost tax payers any increase, but I'm just not that stupid to understand it. Please explain how a NONE BUDGETED item such as a Streep sweeper is bought without it costing the tax payers of MBV?
Or was it truly free, and where can I get one?

Maybe you need to get a private investigator to figure out how to get one for free.

Newsflash....That was Paul....What do you think started the whole Paul problem....He pissed off Rouse,Lesko's little buddy, who defended Rouse by making MB do things they were not required to do. It was cheaper to just do the services then take TOB to court to force them to supply services we already paid for. By the way, Carol has to go, she barely shows up anyway. Failed in every Gov't job she had, she shoulda known this was her last chance. Not to smart Carol..

so are you saying the village paid less than a grand for it?

is that your story that you are sticking to?

Maybe someone said it, but trust me...it's brand new. It's about time the village started to spend YOUR money on highway equipment. After all, village taxes have to be spent sometime. And by that comment, I am implying the money was already in the bank so no tax increase. Maybe you can send us some sand for the next snowstorm. You do have sand in Kuwait, right?

Maybe you can bring up the subject to Gary the next time you are under his desk polishing his boots.

tell him you can be the go-between for a no-bid contract getting sand shipped for Kuwait for the village. That way you, him and the rest of his family members can all get another chance to fleece the Village prior to the March elections.

so it is in the budget this NEW street sweeper? How much did it cost? did they waste tax dollars buying an extended warranty and service package from the dealer? That would be a waste because we all know they will just take it to Unicorn Motors for $800 oil changes and $20/per gall for fuel fill-ups, and 4 rolls of quarters to use the air machine when the tires need air in them.

Carol can stay, she is the only one who knows whats going on.
And it was Gary who told the SC police that we don't need them in the village and he was having the Sheriffs department come in to take care of the village, you see how good that worked.
As for the town of Brookhaven cutting back services, Lesko did that to all the villages to save the town money.
At the last village work shop the trustees were looking at plans for Dunkin Donuts to go in by Mastic Beach Rd and Mastic Rd and for Unicorn to put up a shop next to the one that is already there. Carol was the one who pointed out the problems with both of these and the board denied Unicorn and wants improvements done to the Dunkin site before the hear it again.
Like you name you are just"village gossip".

Paul was not in office when this happen, he had left for health reasions by then.
If you read the new village news letter you will see that all we need in the village is Stiriz, he can fix all, just ask him.
By the way I found out that the village letter is writen by Frank, Gails husband so do you realy think you will get the truth from him. Gary,Gail and Bob want Carol out so you never see anything about her in the village news letter.
They want to replace her with someone from PCCA so they have controll over the village like they did before they backstabb Paul.
