who wants to get involved with an association that is represented by a liar and possible criminal? no thank you to the smith point beach property owners assoc. their association can't seem to run their own board, how can they represent this community?

I've been hearing and reading a lot of bad stuff about the President of this association. Besides, I just read her rebuttal letter in the South Shore Press and know that most of what she said is an outright lie. Add to that, she admits to breaking the law in accepting grant money from the MBPOA. She needs to resign, I plan to join and should it ever come up, add my vote to get rid of her.

There will be a rally on this Saturday, May 24th from 1:30 to 4:30 on William Floyd Parkway in front of the King Kullen to support Eric Hakam, Board Member. If you are interested in coming to show your support, or if you just want to help get Delia out, please email us at IWantDeliaOut@aol.com - Information will be available at the rally as to what is really going on in this association, more than what has been revealed here. Feel free to bring a sign stating how you feel!

The people in this association should be ashamed of themselves. For as much as they dislike the President or are unhappy with the association, they couldn't be bothered to come out and vote last night. Well, you get what you deserve - God only knows what's going to happen to our area now under Delia and Dominic the donkey.

How much control does this president Delia have? Does she have the final say on the incorporated village and it's boundaries? I thought politicians would be involved. Maybe we can challenge her by creating another association and express our own views without this hassle.
I almost attended last night but stayed home instead. If I was turned away from the library I would be mad as well. Imagine living in the "Smith Point" area of Shirley and being turned away from an open public library meeting by a president who resides in Mastic Beach.WOW.

Lots of under-the-table dealings behind closed doors witht the Holiday Corp.- she's gonna try to sell us so her husband can get a fat contract with them. Yes, I suppose that's why all board members have resigned to date. First, the treasurer Mr. Othello, then that guy Ron, then the Vice Prez Laura, then she gets this guy voted out and the next day the last two board members, Pat and Tony resign. Heard that a meeting today. When you look at the history of that group, from the split with last years board members and now this. Can it really be everyone else? Or is the problem really Domnick and Dalia?

Quite frankly, we are both strongly FOR an incorporated village. However, we are not willing to sell our souls to the devil to get it. We want to see it done LEGALLY. We want to see the association follow the by-laws, Roberts Rules and the laws of this country. That's all we have ever asked for, all we have ever stood up for and at every turn have been denied. You are certainly entitled to your uninformed opinion. When Ben and Dominic are the board and the handful of members is all you have left, I'm sure you all will have gotten what you wanted. HOWEVER, remember you will STILL need the rest of this community to get your village and somehow I don't think that's going to happen.

What a shame... guess you were snowjobbed by Delia. I am 100% for the incorporated village. At our first board meeting we all were asked what we wanted. When it got to me I said very simple.#1 Incorporated Village #2 a hard pressed push towards inproving quality of life in this community. Then my next comment was , play by the rules (by laws and Roberts rules) and dont do anything to comprimise those two points I stood for and we will have no problems. well Delia stood in the way of it. She has comprimised the Inc. village and no one even see's it yet. i stated at the meeting, the REAL truth will be coming out soon. If you really were at that meeting you know it was a setup, filled with lies from her and Dominick. I will be vindicated and the people that were lied to all along and that night as well will realize the truth as to who was really fighting for this community. Bet you were one of her friends that the room was stacked with that night. Real honest woman there. She never mentioned also that the Holiday group who I TOLD her to solicite for the money as a donation to incorp., is now being included in Mastic beaches incorporations boundries and is no longer going to be part of ours. it was filed with their attorney already, the same attorney that she wants to use but we never had the money to retain him... Before you shoot your mouth off please check thefacts as i have .. What i print is always the truth and I have no hidden agenda like here like running at Keith Romaines seat next election, but if your friends wth her you know that already, how does it feel to be used as a stepping stone....she's like little boe peep and she thinsk we are all sheep going to follow whatever she says and does....

Wow, then why did only 3 people in the above poll respond favorably? Why has the whole original Board with the exception of Delia either resign or get kicked off? Makes a person wonder, doesn't it?

Unlike you and Delia, we are able to prove our allegations. You people exist on lies and propaganda without a shred of evidence. Why didn't Delia want the membership to know about almost $90,000 in judgements she and Steve have?...hmmm...maybe because in violation of Roberts Rules, she is also acting as treasurer of this association? In what inquiry, trial or court of law are you not allowed to speak or defend yourself? Only in third world nations, dictatorships and the SPBPOA. You're right, the truth WILL prevail and maybe we'll all get lucky and Delia and Dominic will pack up and get out, because quite frankly, you are in the minority - no-one wants them here.

As far as the board member who may step down it's because you threatened him that night at the meeting, i heard you clearly say you would call the state on him (once again attacking people on a personal level) the meeting was taped if anyone would like to hear it. You people will destroy the chances of a village NOT S.P.B.P.O.A. And as far as you being a christian woman you called that president every curse word in the book that night and that is also on the tape. You and your husband seem like very angry people.

Do you actually read the posts? Because he refers to himself as Eric. Please Delia, you really need to stop posting under various names. Why not have the courage and post as yourself, what are you afraid of? And by the way, you really shouldn't talk about spelling - you repeatedly use the word "allot" in your letters to the association. According to the dictionary, "allot" means to parcel out, ditribute by lot or to allocate. The proper spelling is "a lot". Have a wonderful day.

You repeatedly attack my being a christian woman. Obviously you aren't one. I'm not a saint nor do I pretend to be one. As a christian woman, I am offended by the deceit, the arrogance, the alleged criminality of what is going on in this association. I did not use every curse word in the book, I CLEARLY stated to Delia that she was a lying, conniving *itch. Not my proudest moment, but a far cry from your blatant lie. Lies seem to be all that you can come up with, obviously because you have nothing real to bring to the table. You need to move on...we are focusing on the quality of life issues in our community... perhaps Delia, you should start packing.
