This man and so many others made the ultimate sacrafice for all of us. I am glad they are paying tribute to him. Everyone should be thankful to all our fine men and women involved in the fire department. They put their lives on the line everytime no matter if it is day or night...not for themselves...but for us. God bless ALL the families who lost a loved one on 9/11....We will NEVER FORGET!!!

Every community on Long Island has their good and bad / Village of Lake Grove recently, Massapequa last week, and E. Rockaway has also made headlines in the past. Get beyond this nonsense, and show some respect and appreciation for a person who gave his life to help others. Where a person comes from should not negate the good one has accomplished in their life. If your name is not a 3 letter word, you have no right to judge. My prayers and best wishes to the family who lost their loved one.

I always find it amusing that when anything of a good or bad nature happens in areas like yours, or any of your other childish friends that say negative things, that you don't see anyone from our area going out of their way to bash where you live. You and your friends really need to do some serious soul searching, and show some respect to the people who gave their lives for the sole purpose of saving others.

You tell them Tony!!! It amazes me how insensitive and uncaring some of these people who post comments. This man and SO MANY OTHERS gave their lives for ALL of us and this guy can call someone he doesn't even know "white trash". This is the reason why the world is the way it is today....very sad.
