Where can I get a copy of the Constitution and By-Laws for the Mastic Beach Property Owners Association? Are they available at the general membership meetings? Or Online somewhere? Thank you.

Go to the meeting tomorrow night or they are usually in the office in the mornings during the week. You might have to be a member to get a copy to keep. You could probably read them in about ten minutes when you are there. I think they are also on their website.

The website that is up is just temporary. The new website is still under construction. It should be up by next month and the by-laws will be on there. Also speak with Kevin or Catherine in the office in the mornings.

so what? They are NOT a government. He'll, our own government doesn't the laws either. The difference is that the MBPOA doesn't waste my TAXES on their FAMILY, where as the village (the GOVERNMENT) does waste my TAXES on their family. See the difference? Awww, you're to stupid to know the difference. You still believe the lies Gary tells you.

Carol, "running scared" seems to be a good alias for you, please stick with that one. I love how you are now telling Bruce to drop his trustee write-in Summa campaign.

So pathetic! No, not Carol. and once again, you are wrong. But what would someone expect from a village employee that is only concerned about their wallets instead of " WE THE PEOPLE"? Remember that lie? That forming a village would give "we the people" a voice in our government?

I did speak to Kevin at the meeting and he said they had handed all the copies out and did not have any at this time. He said they would be printing more up soon.

I really can't afford to wait a month to get them from the website and will call the office on Monday for a time line on when a copy might be available. In the mean time if anybody has a copy or knows where I can get one I would appreciate it. If it is a file and you could email it that would be great. If you are local I can pick it up.

Thank you.

They are a civic that accepted grant monies, TAX PAYER $$$$, MY MONEY, and mis spent it, pocketed some.....lied to its members about how funds are spent and when asked their answer(DiBonnas) was the Boards decision on how funds are spent are not the members business. He said that a few times. I smell the DA learking around them again...

f off. Go bother our government

Remember, they are a civic group. You must be a marina owner with that much hostility towards a civic group.

The MBPOA By-Laws are available on the web page link at the bottom of this post. As a 501 C4 they are required to file them with New York State at http://www.charitiesnys.com .

One of the many documents on their specific web page is their by-laws. Go down the page about half way, and look for the "Bylaws/organizational rules" link.

When you click on it, you will download a .pdf version of the 2008 by-laws, which is their latest edition.

If the link at the bottom does not work when this message is posted, try copying and pasting it in your browser's address window.

If all else fails just go to www.charitiesnys.com and type the MBPOA's full name in the search box and their web page will come up.

Their by-laws are a public record and obviously the New York State Charities Bureau is making them available to anyone interested in seeing them.

If you want any other information about their C4 status, there are many other documents available on the same web page.

Enjoy your reading.

The link at the bottom of the last post did not work. Do this instead:

Go to this web page link:

http://www.charitiesnys.com/

When the Charities website page comes up in your browser, click on "advance search" in the upper right corner of the web page.

Scroll down to the "Charities Bureau ID #" and enter the three numbers shown below into the three boxes, then hit search.

Charities Bureau ID #: 41-49-08

It takes a few moments (just tested it again and it took a few minutes), but the next web page will come up showing the MBPOA listing. Click on the MBPOA name and their web page will come up.

Then click on the "Bylaws/organizational rules" link and the .pdf file will download to your computer.

Unfortunately, you can't link directly to their information page. Sorry about the confusion, but persistence will pay off and you will have the by-laws you wanted.

Sorry, the direct link to the MBPOA web page did not work after posting.

Go to:

http://www.charitiesnys.com/

In the upper right corner of the web page, click on advance search. Scroll down to Charities Bureau ID #: and enter 41-49-08 into the three boxes, then click the search button.

After a minute or two, maybe less, the MBPOA listing will come up. Click on their name and their complete web page will appear.

The "Bylaws/organizational rules" link is about half way down the page. Click on the link and the .pdf file will download to your computer.

Thank you, Thank you. Much appreciated. It worked fine. For the record I have asked on several occasions since my initial posting for a copy and was just given more run around. This includes asking Kevin just this past Friday at bar night. "oh I am working now and can't go upstairs". What a sad sack that guy has turned out to be, really. I really hope I find what I need and get this matter settled. Thanks again.

What problem do you have? The bylaws are very vague and are really only a basic format for an organization....
