Benson, Hayes still exchanging barbs - Sentinel & Enterprise

The two candidates for the 37th Middlesex District seat squared off for the second time in three nights Wednesday, fielding questions from Shirley residents that ranged from state spending to the teaching of religion in schools. Full Story

Your first sentence makes it sound like you are undecided but you tip your hand when you use phrases like "typical Democrat" and "salute when the leadership tells her". That is all partisan messaging and you are obviously already a Hayes supporter.
As for Rep. Benson's expressions, they both expressed their reactions to the other's answers and rebuttals. It was not one-sided as you seem to imagine.(Yes, I was there too). The candidates' reactions were not "fourth-grader-ish" as you suggest, but normal reactions that anyone might have in such a scenario.
Lastly, Mr. Hayes' platform may be nice for people to hear (lower taxes, more jobs) but ALL candidates say that. Words are cheap. The problem is he has absolutely no public track record of ever DOING any of that. His accomplishments in IBM, whatever they might be, are not known to anyone but himself and his colleagues. We do not even know if he is a good employee.(And, no, longevity at a company is no indication... we all know people who have been in jobs for many years that do not perform!)
Bottom line: it is IMPOSSIBLE to know how he would function in any municipal arena, let alone the State House. All we have are his words, but actions speak louder....and he doesn't have any to back him up. Sorry.
This is such an egregious, phony, misleading hollow argument, I suspect you WORK for Jen Benson!
No ordinary voter would make such obviously misleading statements about how a candidate has time to do this job!
Do you REALLY believe voters are THAT stupid? That they will buy into your mis leading statements about Kurt Hayes and what he does and how he can do it.?
Perhaps you are the part of the Democratic party like John Kerry that believes voters are ignorant and stupid?
Based on that I have to point out some facts about Jen Benson! For example did you know, or would you like voters to know that her husband is a Homo sapien! I wonder how many voters are bothered by that. Did you also know that they ? Did YOU know that, BOTH are very likely in a Monogamous relationship with each other? Ask her, I bet anything she would not deny it!
I wonder if this revelation is going to change any voters minds out there?
Sometimes you just have to say things and reveal things about a person so that, smart informed voters really understand a candidate and make good informed voting decisions!
And while we’re about it lets not forget where the Massachusetts house leaders are who Jen first obeyed and reported to and obligingly did what she was told to do?

Let the voters decide on the extent of her reactions and condescending tone when cable airs the debate. Sorry, she DID look and act like someone who is taking her ball and going home.

Bye, Bye Rep Benson. The Great Purge of 2010, will continue into the next election. Nobody can trust
elected officals any more. I feel bad for kids just comming into the system. They are scr**ewed and will get stuck paying down our deficits.

Boston as usual

I found an interesting post on Rep Benson's web site.

State Representative Jen Benson (D-Lunenburg) "announced" today that the Harvard Snowmobile Club received a $14,766 grant for a new groomer vehicle.

The timing of this post is suspicious, but's it still great news for snowmobile enthusiasts.

Interesting enough, this web posting appeared the day after Rep Benson voted in favor of the anti-atv bill. You know the bill that took away nature from families who always followed the rules....

Folks, this federal funding is allocated by an advisory committee made up of volunteers. This committee accepts all grant requests, then sets priorities and works with DCR during the allocation process.

So, when Tom Brady tosses a touch down on Sunday,
should we post the good news? Maybe people will think it was our idea that won the game.

Isn't this Boston politics as usual?
You know, take things away, then use smoke and mirrors, so we feel better off?

They sure do learn quick working in Boston.
... and I thought it was complicated to a State Representative.

Please list Jennifers specific public track record. What has she specifically initiated, lead and completed? She seems to take credit for legislation other people lead just for tagging along and voting for it. Thats not creation, initiative, perserverence or finishing what you started. That's what we need and want!
