I'm sure since you don't live in Farmington and possible did not ever. That you assume it's just full of raging alchoholics and drug addicts.Well it's not and since you don't live here it's not right for you to assume that it is just Drunks being stupid. 6 Deaths since the begining of this month is too coincedental. So unless all the addicts got togther and made a suicide pack consisting of drowning in some sort of way. Then I think Farmington may a problem. B.T.W. These people were not drunks, they were someones father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter and child. Try to get it right next time and show some compassion.

Hey, Sheriff Melton. It's time to investigate again. We need your expertise as the FBI is going to fumble this. You know the deaths are all related. We have a Fry want-a-be since there is no longer a death penalty in New Mexico.

Good, the FBI is now involved and I am sure they will bring in the US Marshall's Office - the beats the heck out of Rob Mayes's rationalizing death.

I still have the book - but I would bet this is over chemical dependence, not paying for drugs, gang retaliation, or silencing those in the know. Four out of six found in the water ??

Damn it's Chili Yazzie taking his frustration out on anyone who happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

No let's get serious now, I do hope they find the individual or individuals responsible for these deaths. Whether they created the situation and/or actually did the killing. I am thinking it might be drug related.

Okay hasn't only 1 of these 6 deaths been confirmed and foul play. Talk about assuming the worse of people. you got one person yelling drunks, others yelling serial killer. I'd say let the police do thier jobs and we stay out of it unless you have information to lead to solving these if they are even crimes.

Wow, for real? You probably live up in Snob hill, or Foothills, or never go down Auburn, Maple, or down by the "Y". I do feel sorry for these people, and yes i do still believe that the people found in the ditches were just some drunk people, also the paper did not say that the other body found at the foot of a cliff was splattered or anything like that. Falling from 150 ft on solid ground, you'd think that the body might have been f'd up a bit due to the height of the fall. It might have been someone just sleeping there, and they died of exposure, the weather has been pretty nasty out. And no I do not live in Farmington, but I did grow up there, and plan to move back after my end of active service with the military.

I don't live on snob hill or foothills. I am just a concerned citizen who happens to wonder whats going to happen when who ever is doing this gets bored with the addicts. I may have not grown up here but I did grow up on Gladys Ave. San Gabriel Ca. your equavalent to Aubern and Maple. I know all about addiction and alcholism more than what I should say I have lived here for 10yrs and have watched the addiction problem here get worse.I read the Broken Circle and was disgusted that those teenagers got off with a slap on wrist I just hope that whoever this is does not get the same. A human being is a human being, no matter what there problems were in life. Regardless of who they were in there life they were still someones family and they were loved...

Ok within the same paragraph this "reporter" contradicted themselves.... Are you seriously telling me this is worth a paycheck....
How can a human be unidentifiable one minute and yet the next '**** family reported him missing on".... You either KNOW who they are or you DON"T.... Get you damn story straight before you PRINT it...
No wonder there is so much drama in this area with crack pipe reporting like this...
“the body of a man was discovered 13 miles northeast of Shiprock, Jones said. The man was found at the base of a 150-foot cliff. He was not immediately identifiable, and officials believe he was there for several weeks, Jones said. His body was taken to the Office of the Medical Examiner in Albuquerque to undergo autopsy.
Investigators believe the man's family reported him missing Sept. 22, but they will await a final determination from the Office”
Quote from the FDT.

How can a body not be immediately identifiable Marine Mom is because the body was not only out in the elements for a long while, but you should realize that coyotes, carrion birds, foxes, etc had parts of him for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

How he may have been partially identified but not yet identifiable is the height, weight, clothing, etc. of the person called in missing. Even with this type of information from the family before there is a positive ID, it has to go to the medical examiners office first, in cases like this one. Then the family has to ID the body and claim it.

It’s not the papers fault that this is the information they have to work with.

Let's try a little re-write... and I bet it makes more sense..

The man was found at the base of a 150-foot cliff. He was not immediately identifiable, and officials believe he was there for several weeks, Jones said. His body was taken to the Office of the Medical Examiner in Albuquerque to undergo autopsy.
Investigators believe the man to be that of one reported missing on September 22, however they will await a final determination from the Office

Now does that NOT make more sense... If not I apologize... I am merely saying how can we expect our children to do better in school IF this is the example being set by the local newspaper. Now I do realize the average reading level for a newspaper is third grade according to Federal studies... Yet that is no excuse for an educated individual such as a reporter to make such a grammatical error...

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Sagittarius

The rumour mill is especially active, and interesting tales are coming at you from all sides. Don't believe everything you hear: there are people who will start gossip to further their own aims and you don't want to help them unwittingly. Similarly, don't reveal too much of yourself to those who you don't know intimately - keep your own counsel.
