I think the old axiom that we teach our youngsters in our classroom applies here.

CCSD ADMIN:
I gave the Daily Times the salary info so quit asking Alyssa to give up her source! It is public information that the PED has in their possession and is available for anyone to see-nothing about what I gave Alyssa Landry is confidential. If Epperson and Manning were to follow their own "Guiding Principals" TRANSPARENCY would be something that the cabinet would be practicing.

I was told that NO ONE was getting raises by my "boss", Manning, in the same breath I was told that I was getting a significant cut, as did many others. This was also reiterated by Epperson at the July 20th board meeting. I was also instructed by Manning that "if you don't like it, find something else." In response to that really sympathetic comment I say now...."Bye Bye, Bye. " I mean that in more ways than just one.

Teachers are the ones who really got the shaft and continue to at CCSD.

One thing that I do know is that NONE OF THIS IS ABOUT EDUCATION OR ABOUT STUDENTS. This is where the real tragedy lies.

Pamela Weese's comments ring of the truth as to where the tragedy lies.

The harsh reality about the current situation is that both men, Epperson and his boss, B. Manning are more concerned about their egos and salaries and are not at all concerned about how their attitudes are negatively affecting the district and the educational process.

It is amazing that district insisted on that clarification. It only proved how dishonest and conniving Epperson and Manning are. They need to revise their guiding principals to be in step with reality. Although, on the other hand, if the guiding principals reflected CCSD's reality they would not look so good on paper.

Everyone should know that Mesa Elementary School was destroyed by fire last night. The fire started in the new library, which was built by Bill Flack's Farmington Construction, the same company that gets all the no-bid contracts from Dennis Fieldsted. Fieldsted is Flack's former business partner from Diamond D. Construction. Flack is also another 3rd Ward bigshot with the Mannings. Everyone in the district knows how poor the construction quality was on the Mesa Library. This was very likely an electrical fire, but Manning will try to cover that up.

At the same time, where is Epperson? On vacation all week. Everyone knows he is job hunting though. This is his third vacation since school started. What kind of leadership is that?

Time to recall this school board president Elayne Lowe, the one who is the pocket of Larry Hathaway, another 3rd Ward bigshot. Elayne is nothing but an APPLE selling out our people to the Mannings and their buddies. Look how bad the district has fallen apart since she became president in March. Elayne Lowe doo ya'ashooda! BilaSAANA doo ya'ashooda!

this isn't only happening in school districts, i tell you contract and grants schools are worst, you could say the HR queens are the only making decisions in hiring their relative, giving themselves raises. what about an audit for these schools from the navajo nation or federal government. the federal government is foolish is giving monies to these greed people. the students and ayp are forgotten.

The CCSD is being audited for making the cuts necessary in their contingency plan while the Farmington School District's contingency plan is to raise money,$50,000,000 , from property owners by holding a special election, the Tuesday prior to Labor Day, advertising construction of a New Middle school that does not even show up on the Ballet.
There definitely is something wrong here ?
Little Old Lady without a clue...

CCSD is not being audited because they "made cuts". Whose Kool-Aid are you drinking. Byron and Epperscum are not in trouble because of what they DIDN'T spend, but because of what they DID spend, and HOW they spent it. That means bid-rigging (Oce Copiers, Lossee Architects, Farmington Construction, etc.), no-bid contracts (Farmington Construction), and purchases from companies owned by the Manning family (Manning Greenhouse, Chitti Lube, etc.).

It's not illegal to make cuts. Good thing the Auditor understands the law better than Clueless Little Old Lady from Farmington. If you think that your school district violated the law, then you should call the Auditor, too, like hundreds of people from CCSD did. The Auditor had more reports on CCSD than any other institution in New Mexico history.

How unfortunate that Ms. Lowe is this meek. She should not be the President if she cannot sort out the corruption. One of my neighbors who has repeated called Ms. Lowe for assistance for her child in one of the Kirtland schools has been ignored by her. DO NOT TAKE THE JOB unless you can do it. She should be recalled. Shame on her for not knowing about this salary increase nightmare as well as the leases. Please hope she is not running again, she is another Rozanna.

She is worse than Rozanna. But she only has a few months left because Rick Nez, San Juan Chapter President, is going to run against her. Even though Byron and Epperson have promised her $$$ for her re-election, she has no one to run her campaign. She is going to face total humiliation once the school board elections start, and her family, too. Her brother Larry and sister Gloria both get consultant $$$ from CCSD. They are like the Navajo Mannings.

<quoted text>You got it! Epperson allowed Byron to pick and choose who HE wanted to give raises to, who he wanted to cut and who he wanted to freeze. It is not performance based, just good old white boy standards ond who Byron deems is qualified. Two of the cabinet got hefty raises, the other remained the same except a raise on Byrob's benefits! The custodial supervisor got a double digit raise and drives a great big SUV while her custodial workers get nothing. This information is all on the Public Education Department website so it is not confidental as Byron would lke everyone to believe. Epperson and Byron will once again not like this second article and will call the reporter in, chew her out and she will do another correction/clarificatio next week. Oh dear, the web we weave at CCSD......
Let's get off the "white boy" crap. I'm a white boy, and I didn't get a raise. That has NOTHING to do with it. It MAY be a Mormon thing, but it has nothing to do with being a "white boy".

"a title change necessitates an increase" as Epperson says.

Bull****!!!! Under the current circumstances, the higher TITLE could have been given, with the understanding that the higher PAY will follow when the budget improves!

Hey NEA Folks...
It sounds like you have grounds for a suit! Here's why:
* You requested via a court order that the district turn over financial records so that you could negotiation in good faith.
* So you get the information, and it gets out to the public (which I'm pretty sure is NOT a violation of the bargaining process anyway, since the data is ALREADY considered public information that ANYONE has the same right to request from the school district [moron superintendent]).
* The Daily Times gets wind of it and prints it/interprets it.
* Now the district release "updated" data suggesting that the previous data was "inaccurate" and "misleading".
THAT MEANS THEY ARE PUBLICLY ADMITTING *THEY* PROVIDED MISLEADING AND INACCURATE INFORMATION TO THE NEA!!!
Please NEA/NMHED/Auditors, call them out on this, and put their butts to the fire!
That would seem logical, but the NEA is all talk, and no action. They are either afraid of CCSD, or in cohoots with them.

You have to be kidding. She isn't worth two cents. I've heard that she is not even certified in math but is a math coach. The teachers at SHS say she was just as worthless in the classroom and is not respected by any of the experienced math teachers.

Thank you for bringing up the "new" copiers. In my 15 years in education, I have NEVER seen junkier machines. They take forever to warm up, they break down every hour, they are JUNK. What relative owns THIS company????

If this is all true, and you have solid proof, you need to share this information with the auditor, the N.M. attorney general, and the PED. This is all illegal, and could finally spell the end of this mess.

NEA is the only entity in this district holding their feet to the fire. Without NEA the board and employees would be totally in the dark. So maybe you should think before you accuse people who work hard on your behalf of being in cohoots with the likes of Byron Manning.

The company is headquartered in Utah. Byscam took this contract away from Yolanda Bingham, telling her that she wasn't capable of handling the contract. So Byscam, personally handled this contract and gave to another Mormon company out of Utah. And people say the Mormon Mafia is the figment of someone's imagination. Byscums brother in law is also subcontracting on the pool in Kirtland.

All this with epperson lying is old news. The question is what do WE do about it. The board knows of all these issues, they were the ones lied to and they already know it. epperson keeps messing with the agenda when he knows the board wants to repremand him, he and sharon ray,his personal crook secretary, intentionally keep it off the agenda, then no mention or action can be taken. PRESIDENT ELAINE LOWE IS THE PROBLEM.
