County Executive Watching Pittsburgh Mayoral Race Closely

Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald has been watching developments with the Pittsburgh Mayoral race closely.

You bet he's watching. He knows where his clout and political power comes from. His worst nightmare would be a "true" independent. Ain't gonna' happen, but he's gonna' keep an eye on things. The status quo cannot be allowed to change.
The citizens must, however, fight consolidation with every strength and fiber of your community. Fitz is looking to take over your services and your independence. Be aware, be very aware.

Don't care, still a very, very bad idea. They sit in the cess pool that they have created called the city of Pittsburgh. They covet your tax base, they covet your schools that actually teach (Theirs are a place to get free food and make drug deals).

The worst thing this area could ever do is consolidate. Look at Philadelphia, look at Los Angelus, it's a stupid idea. It's simply a way to move more Negroes to the suburbs, kinda like Wilkinsburg. Which is a great example of what happens when Negroes migrate to the suburbs.
