Police: Looking for Phillies fan in mourning

Full story: Public Opinion

Shippensburg police say there were no reports of a large green furry character in Shippensburg that could be blamed for the smashing of a windshield with a pumpkin after the New York Yankees defeated the Philadelphia Philles for the World Series title Wednesday, so they are instead looking for a Phillies fan in mourning.

Blame the police, who were looking for a big green furry character and then went looking for the Phillies fan when they didn't find the monster.

Well, a broken windshield isn't cheap to replace, and I believe that a replacement windshield never seals as well as the original. It was minor, but it WAS a crime, so the PO did their job, even if their attempt at humor fell flat.

Wow..i used to buy the paper every day, im so glad i no longer do. Who the hell is running the paper now? is the editor a 7th grader? that is probably THE most horrible head line i have ever seen. its not even funny. Yes i do believe that it was a crime, and an expensive repair, im not belittling what happened, but it belongs in the police log, like all the other vandalism reports. Not in the apparently front page comics. whats next....a blue polka dotted bear attempts to steal a bicycle? oh wait here sorry...it was just a disgruntled 3rd grader. someone stole his lunch money.

What is wrong with some of you fools? You constantly log comments and increase traffic on Topix. You vow to stop reading the newspaper but you are onsite everyday. Old Salt, Hahaha and others, take your azz to another newspaper forum. Stop torturing yourselves here.
I read lots of forums, but never one I don't like. Are you that stupid?

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Hopefully there weren't any witnesses or surveillance cameras that caught me in the act.

Daily Horoscope for December 18

Libra

Throughout the rest of the month you'll enjoy the security and comfort that you gain from being in familiar places surrounded by familiar faces. You won't be happy about straying too far from home, and you'll rush back there as soon as possible. This is a great time to consider ways in which you can improve the appearance of your home or garden.
