Irrigation district urged to restart project
El Dorado Irrigation District officials are being urged to help stimulate the local economy by proceeding with a project they postponed last fall because of cash-flow concerns.

No way should this project proceed. EID has not done enough due dilligence to even consider this action again. It should be cancelled and work at shop outsourced to local buisness's.
Its time the county board and EID board look at merging there resources to save us ratepayers any reason to raise rates.
This drought declaration is political and full of bull, only reson was to raise rates and we all sit back and allow this?
google El Dorado and look at the articles recenlty written.

I beleive that EID should cut the project and not proceed. They need to be creative and find alternate maintenance needs such as calling upon local business like the USFS does to servive its vehicles.
