Serrano; 14-year-old girl caught with a 23-year-old man

Child predator living in your community?
On April 19,2009 3:20am my 14 year old sister was found in a vehicle with Patrick McDermot a 23 year old resident of Serrano by Serrano security.
El Dorado County sheriff detained and questioned
Mr. Patrick Mc Dermot and my sister for about an hour. I thank the Serrano security for being diligent and stopping this crime in progress. Maybe the El Dorado county sheriff can learn from your dodilagence.
My sister was a returned to us “unharmed” wearing Mr. Patrick Mc Dermot’s pajama’s. And yet no arrest of the child friendly Mr. Patrick McDermot. Shame on the El Dorado county sheriffs office. Shame on you Sheriff Neves. Shame on Mr. Patrick.Mc Dermot’s father and family for condoning a crime in progress at a domicile in Serrano. I assume it is ok for a resident of Serrano to be above the law.
14-year-old little girl caught with a 23-year-old man in a car in the middle of the night (3.20am) She is dressed in his pajamas and no crime has occurred? Barney Fife is alive and well working at the El Dorado County Sheriffs department. Yet, no arrest by the incompetent El Dorado county sheriffs department.
Justice does not exist and incompetence abounds under sheriff Neves. Now is time to prove me wrong and make an arrest in an obvious case of illegal contact between an adult and a child.
Sheriff Neves…do your job! Protect our children…The County and your constituents are watching you and so am I …

So what penal code section would you like the sheriffs dept to arrest the loser, mcdermot for? I agree that he should be arrested no doubt, but sometimes law enforcements hands are tied sorry to say

before convicting this man shouldnt we know the relationship between the two? were they friends, was he a stranger to her? did he force her into the car or try anything inappropriate with her? if the cops talked to her for over an hour she had plenty of time to turn him in if the need was there. perhaps she ran away and this man was a friend or brother or relative or neighbor of one of her friends who was talking to her and only wanted to talk her into going home and he offered her a ride. there could be so many innocent reasons for her to be in his car. perhaps she was in need of something to throw on for whatever reason and this man was kind enough to give her something. pjs can be worn to big or small unlike a pair of pants. maybe she left the house in to skimpy an outfit and ran into trouble with someone else and he was kind enough to help.
of course these are all guesses as we dont have the details of why or what happened. all we know is she was in his car and pjs (not in his house or bed) she was unharmed and she didnt turn him in for anything. yes it is inappropriate for a man of that age to befriend someone her age but we dont know thats what he did now do we? we dont know that he knew her age either. does she look older? did she say she was 18? maybe you know big brother but if your not gonna tell all how can we side with you? what could he be arrested for? hanging out with a minor? thats not illegal. only thing that would be illegal is if he tried anything sexual and appearantly he did not.

Unfortunately the cops couldn't arrest this scumbag.

Mc Dermot is a sexual predator and the 14 y/o got lucky and wasn't hurt or maybe she isn't telling anyone.

People think all 14yo girls are completely innocent. I think the 14yo girl arrested in the murder of her mother proves otherwise.

Mcdermot admitted multiple times to sexual intercourse with the minor.(more the 5 times) Even if she claimed she was 18, she is not old enough in the state of California to give her own consent without a guardian present. He knew she was 14 he chose otherwise to continue to engage in sexual acts. Not to mention if you look up this guys record hes a multiple offender. Guns, Drugs, False Documents, but yet he is the victim of a 14 year old girl? you be the judge. a 23 year old engaging in sexual intercourse is a crime.
