The Susquehanna River could crest at 27 feet, causing problems for low lying areas like Shickshinny in Luzerne County.

Getting people to leave Canal St. homes is very important. I realize their homes are important to them but why would anyone want to go thru all that flooding year after year. And....now that FEMA will not pay for damages while living there in a flood zone, it makes more sense to move.
