Johnson sentenced to four years for urn theft
HILLSBORO - A Newberg man accused of stealing an urn and the cremated remains of an infant, along with other items, from a home near Sherwood on May 9 was convicted and sentenced in Washington County Circuit Court in August. Shawn Aaron Johnson, 27, pleaded guilty to one charge each of first-degree burglary, first-degree theft and abuse of a memorial and was sentenced to four years in prison and three years of post-prison supervision (including drug abuse treatment) by Washington County Circuit Judge Thomas W.
