Pay Raise for Illinois workers July 1

State union workers in Illinois are defending 50 million dollars worth of pay raises set to take effect July 1, the same day devastating cuts to social service agencies are threatened to take place.

Another example of the unions causing our financial problems. Until unions are eliminated the tax payer will get screwed. Teachers salaries and benefits are going thru the roof, but nothing is done to stop it. Firsy eliminate their ability to strike, oh wait we are back to the original problem, UNIONS

Well this couldn't have happened at a better time. Maybe Gov. Quinn could have been looking into this rather then jumping up and down on stage in Chicago while screaming "We need to raise taxes"!

Why are the IL taxpayers having to foot the bills for state pension plans, medical benefits, etc? Millions of Americans are being forced to take mandatory time-off without pay, 401K contributions are being eliminated, and these whiney union state employees are complaining! The state should be cutting back on social programs that aren't necessary, daycare for three year olds is a joke, youth programs for gang bangers, clinics for illegals, need I say more?
