Poplarville may seem like a modern day Mayberry, but,it sure could use a face lift.It could be made to look like a storybook
town.I have suggested that a nice hotel with a covered patio be built on the vacant lot in the middle of town.Perhaps an older theme would compliment the older buildings on main street. There is room in the rear for parking. There could be a small shop or two on the bottom floor, perhaps a nice restaurant,a flowing fountain in the middle of the covered patio, and hanging baskets of flowers adorning the block with a few green trees to give a country essence to it.Poplarville has ball games, rodeos, festivals, and out of town visitors who do not have a place to stay.Time changes things and our town has to change in some ways, but, hopefully only in good ways.

Poplarville is nothing more than a Payton Place. Crooked politicians, judges, etc. etc.
If God were to give the State of Mississippi and enema, he'd stick it in at Poplarville!

Things in poplarville are not going to change untill the mayor is voted out. He is the owner of bills fried chicken and doesnt want ANY new business coming in.. Im sure that goes for many other local businesses too.. Poplarville needs new board members who are not owners of businesses in the city afraid that their business will suffer.. It might as well be called Prohibitionville....

I always thought Mr. Gandy that use to own Sunflower never wanted any businesses to come to Poplarville. All I can say is Wiggins really loves the improvements being made in our town.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Virgo

Unfortunately, this looks like being another difficult day, and, as Mars turns retrograde, certain people are quick to take offence or raise their voices. Make sure you aren't adding to the tension by doing or saying something that's provocative or even downright insulting. If you get involved in a shouting match it will be difficult to stop and you could say some nasty things in the heat of the moment.
