What else would you have him do to recoup the money that was stolen/misappropriated?

<quoted text> Blame himself and the rest of the Council who let it happen, they are in control. The innocent public was made to suffer because they did not have their finger on what was going on (MISAPPROPRIATED). It was/is THEIR JOB to know what is happening, obviously he was not doing a very good job, in my opinion he should have resigned in shame for what he allowed to happen on his watch.
Resign in shame? Bernie Brown was not on the City Council then - he was elected in 2010.

Man am I glad I left that shithole of a town before you people were excreted into the streets. Sounds like a good place for the UN to test out some of those old atom bombs they got lying around.

Who said they did? You are posting and you do not even know what your talking about. But look DA they DO vote to pay the bills, and they Do make the budget and like it or not they ARE ACCOUNTABLE for their actions when it comes to the management of the City.

I take it you are "Misty" from above based on the identical sentence structure with use of random all capitalized letters with some words, that previously stated Bernie Brown should "resign in shame" due to the prior mismanagement of funds when he was not even on the council at the time that all the mismanagement of funds was going on. Based on this response it looks like you are just digging in with your 100% inaccurate analysis toward Councilman Brown, complete with insults and charges of stupidity toward those who are making accurate statements.

I go to the city council meetings and Bernie always acts like he has a lot to contribute, but seems to be intimidated by the other council members.

I go too. Bernie hasn't had an independent thought since he was elected. He's been Larry's puppet. With Larry gone hopefully someone with reason will pull his strings. Welcome to the new council. Good luck.

Sure, most would be *capable* of doing it - but doing it is another matter entirely - and in the exact same pattern with the same style / tone seems to be more than mere coincidence. Also, a flat denial would have been more convincing than the rationale you added. If you truly aren't the same person, my apologies...

Bernie Brown paid his son $70,000 of tax payers money for nothing. He is a big backer of QK4 witch has robbed the city blind. And now he wants MSD to take over the sewer department. He has done nothing while on the council to help the City. The only reason he got in was because people voted straight tickets.

I'd like to hear this story about his son. No councilman can just do that.

It is true, I know 3 people in 40165 that just pulled straight tickets. I was so glad to see Belcher go that I did not care.

That can't be correct because in 2010 there were Republicans who did not make it onto the council - If people were voting straight ticket to that degree they would have all at least gotten 6th place and gotten onto the council. Bernie was the top vote getter.

I think the people that voted for Jose Cubero will be sorry. Just wait an see. The other ones that won has never been to a council meeting. If they really cared what was going on in the city, they should had come to the council meetings.

"Misty" is 100% right,Brown was appointed at first, now he has been elected...he did vote to raise taxes ALOT, it is his son in law that he voted to hire to help find out where the money went. Which by voter standards is CRAZY,why would you need help in tracing down the money from an outside source...oh,yea the council AND the mayor are too dumd to figure it out...it's only paperwork!!

Bernie Brown was never appointed. He was elected in 2010 and this time also. Corky Miller was appointed and also Rob Flaherty. I'm glad they both lost. I agree with Jose Cubro is a big mistake.
