Next month Salt River Electric company will not be knocking on doors to collect payments. Instead they will only be pulling meters. Pay your bills people to avoid loss of service.

My husband works for Salt River and hates to turn off any ones service, but he has to do his job to keep it.

Please remember they also have to pay their bills. Have a nice day everyone.

LG&E is one of the sorriest corporations on this planet. The only one worse is Insight.

I agree and for that reason alone I would never live in Louisville. LG&E is ridiculous.

Insight also blows. We have them for cable right now and looking to start new service with someone else. The payments are high and the service is terrible!

Since I have you here Scarecrow are you the same one from the Old Depot ?

I have never been to the Old Depot. I do most of my drinking at home. When I do drink, I don't talk to anyone or answer the phone. Boozs makes me stupid.

I did enough stupid during my 22 years in the service.

Good. Every one of those bottom-feeding scum bags at LG&E deserve to be shot. And that included your greedy scum bag husband.

That's what the Nazi soldiers that were running the death camps said, "We were just doing our jobs". Does that make things all better with you on that situation too?

Called my old friend Schepman up to auction off the land
He said John it's just my job and I hope you understand
Hey calling it your job ol' hoss sure don't make it right
But if you want me to I'll say a prayer for your soul tonight
And grandma's on the front porch swing with a Bible in her hand
Sometimes I hear her singing "Take me to the Promised Land"

Your POS husband is a whole lot more likely to catch a bullet to the dome walking up on someone's property unannounced. But hey, good riddance.

It must be real nice to live in that candy-coated world of gum drops and rainbows that you live in, were you believe that it's just as simple as telin people to "pay your bills". Your POS husband is a whole lot more likely to catch a bullet to the dome walking up on someone's property unannounced. But hey, good riddance. Let me guess, you just sit at home all day in your comfortable heated home with electricity, playing online while your husband makes a living cutting everyone else's off all day? I hope you both burn in hell, which you will.

The man is doing what his job requires. If YOU paid YOUR bill, you wouldn't have to worry about it being disconnected. What do you t hink should happen? The government provide that service for people as well? Have a little self responsibility and stop blaming other people! Or, do you think the poster shouldn't have electricity because her husband disconnects service to those who do not pay? I bet she pays hers.

Yes, I DO beieve that having electricity in your home should be RIGHT and not a privilege. I usually aggree with you completely on your crazy-lady rants about government moochers, but with the ridiculous ever increasing rates from those greedy blood suckers at LG&E, Salt River and the like are way out of control and unreasonable. How can some one keep paying a bill that constantly goes up no matter what you do, but my pay check doesn't? In this day and age no one can live with out electricity, especially in the winter, and no one should have to. LG&E is a greedy, evil, corrupt company and so is any one that works there feeding the beast. They ALL deserve a bullet to the face while their family watches...

It sure has rained on the Scarecrow today. I got my azz soaked going to the store.

LG&E is going to spend a billion dollars over the next 10 years on scrubbers for cleaning the air. They could build a cold fusion generator and have no pollution. Or a zero point energy device and no pollution. But NO, they want to burn cheap coal and raise everyone's rates sky high to squeeze us for every last dime we have.

Insight cable is worse than LG&E. I told them last time they raised my bill back in June I would dump them the next time they raised it. Well they are going to raise it $30 next month.

I signed up for Direct TV and AT&T yesterday. I'll be paying about half for the first year, then who knows ????????

I agree that LGE/ Salt River and ANY other corporation with a monopoly are greedy SOBs. However, you can not blame the people who are employed there for doing their jobs. Would you go to WalMart, take milk to the counter, demand not to pay for it and then--when the cashier takes the milk away--tell her she should be shot in the face? Same difference. If you don't want to pay LGE, then buy a wood burning stove, get solar panels, make your home energy efficient, etc...
I bet you have failed to pay your bill quite a few times and have been cold as a result. That's YOUR fault, not the LGE worker making $15 who is commissioned with shutting your service off because YOU didn't pay.

You hit the nail on the head right here. Let me point out the major hole in your little 'comparing apples to oranges' Walmart analogy. The difference is, that if I don't like the prices at Wally world, I can go elsewhere. Whereas with LG&E and Salt River, we are being held hostage by a monopoly. It's like THEY have a gun to OUR heads, and it's either pay their ridiculous prices or you don't have electricity at all. How is it that any reasonable person can argue in favor of these evil, greedy crooks? Or anyone who works for these demons? Oh that's right, you're a fat little house wife that has never had to pay bills or put bread on the table on your own in your entire life. Isn't that the definition of a moocher?

Ok, so according to your line of insane reasoning, if it was LG&E workers job to go out and shoot puppies in the head all day, that would be ok with you too? Just as long as they were "just doing their jobs"? Or in the case of the Nazi soldiers running the death camps, which I mentioned earlier, they're good people too in your book? Just as long as they were "just doing their jobs"? Yep, it was those lazy Jewish peoples own fault for being so Jewish, right?

How am I supposed to pay with something I don't have, genius? How am I supposed to pay for an extorted service that has gone up so much over the past 5 years that my winter bill is as big as my house payment? And that's with a new engery efficient furnace, water heater and central A/C units, AND keeping the thermostat between 55 and 60 degrees with the family dressed up like Eskimos inside! And after I paid for all that, they just raise the rates again! So it's MY fault that LG&E is so greedy that they raise the rates every few months to the point where my bill is so high that I can barely afford o pay it? Are you really that much of an out of touch moron? Yep, it's my kids fault for not going and getting jobs at age 5 and 10, and my fault for not just going out and getting a higher paying job, right? It's just that simple in your sheltred world?

Fat little house wife logic...
