It's not the people that go to meetings that I worry about. Those people want help and are seeking it. It's people like you that worry me....people who obviouslly need help and don't seek it.
I'm appreciate AA. I don't drink and have never been there but anything that people can rely on to overcome their demons and not even cost taxpayers a damn is a good thing.
Visited several AA meetings in my youth kiddo. All I seen was people who get drunk just so they can call their sponsor inn the wee hours of the morning and yap, homeless guys that appreciate free coffee, and a scraggler or two who never even drink to begin with, but suck up glory from the crowd as they claim that God couldn't do it for them,,,but Alcoholics Anonymous "did".So I guess that's pretty much in essence,,,why I have absolutely zero respect for the group as a whole. However,I guess they're similar to negroes though,,,you cant accurately judge the whole group because of the noisiest few that's hangin' out on the corner,,,so it probably ain't cool to bust 'em up I guess.Either way,,,"yes",if you had any idea of the number of habits I've laid down and walked away from on my own steam,,,you'd have have some amount of respect for me.Well,,,if you are indeed the creature of conscience that you claim to be.

<quoted text>I went to one of those meetings not saying they don't work for people but I don't think it's for me. They say once your an alcoholic your always one. Not trying to preach but The Bible says whom The Son sets free is free in deed. Sorry I called you a ass . But if A A helps people and I think it helps some I'm glad for that.
Indeed, once free,,,one's free. And yes,I'll give credit where it's due,I believe they can help a certain number. But only the ones who find a bigger buzz by being around all their new found buddies,,,than they did drinking six packs.Well,,,"praise God",,,some people say.Only thing is,,,those guys were never even alcoholics to begin with.Only guys with no buddies who drank a little beer to fill the void. However, the theory that says,"once you're an alcoholic, you're always an alcoholic",actually does carry merit, but only in an 'in general' fashion. As a rule, the human body, spirit, and mind desperately yearn for all things that bear pleasantries by releasing dopamine and endorphins, once we learn of those things. In other words, most people who taste sweetened chocolate,,,long to experience it again, people who don't drink, spend money for an evening at the improv because they want to laugh again this week just the same as they did last week, smokers who quit smoking always want another one (been a year for me this month and I'm needin' one now just as bad as I did nine months ago),and when most people discover sex,,,they never turn back, slow down,or stop either. So in essence,Alcoholics Anonymous is being a bit arrogant by attempting to claim that alcohol is the only thing the human brain will ever learn to like,,,but fail to forget later. And honestly,,,I believe that preaching once "you're sick, you're always sick",is a weakness as opposed to a strength. All that aside, have a good one,and good luck with you.

You are in denial, spartan. One drunk should never advise another drunk as to what sort of treatment to seek or not seek. You are bragging about shaking your habits, yet you, yourself, can't seem to shake the acohoism that so obviously controls you.

You should really be worried about yourself then for real. You need more help than anyone on this forum and that includes the bad mothers and dopers and drunks and gays and racists and tattooed people even the pedophiles and rapists and terrorists but you do not see it. It is clear to everyone except you that you are a crazed terrorist and lonely bitter black hearted demon with no life. You should join a group that will exorsize your demons. No one wants to talk on here anymore because you done terrorized the place. You and your 50 different screen names loser. It scares me to think what you must really look like. I bet you were bullied in school and beat down by your exs.

I haven't even posted here in a while and you holly-haters are still hanging on my every word! Haha!

I see you are concerned with my one screen name, yet I've never seen your screen name post before.

Now, what were you saying about the pot and kettle?
