It would be dumb of them not to put one in shepherdsville, it would make money. I hope it is so I dont have to drive to walmart in hillview or go to kroger where the prices are higher. This area keeps growing an growing, and it would have great business, especially highway traffic. couldnt ask for a better location for a walmart.

That Robards guy didn't want the Target in his backyard, so he stopped that. Really he didn't want to give them an encroachment closer to his racetrack. He single handedly stopped Target!!

I think you need to watch The Higher Cost of Low Prices. Walmart is a terrible company! All of your local businesses will shut down as they will not be able to compete. So kiss what's left of your little "hometown city" goodbye. Also, they treat their employees badly. They most often feel women aren't fit for management and rarely promote based on that. For this to be the largest retail big box chain in the world they don't even offer health insurance to most. If to want that in Shepherdsville then good luck to you!
If I were you I would just consider continuing to drive to Hillview or Fern Creek and forget about the opening of one in Shepherdsville.
If I still lived there I would be in protest.
(Sorry, I copied this from another post I commented on so if you see it again I apologize for the annoyance):-)
