honestly you guys should stop now, grow up, this tragic event has nothing to do if Mr B. is a perv or pedifile, seriously the students of Mr B. should be giving him some support and stop putting him down, now honestly please stop.

I'm not going to judge people based upon grammar or spelling at this point, it's not important, but do realize that if you are going to accuse someone of being a pedophile, you ought to spell the word correctly.
I, like many who have posted so far, went to ESMS and had Mr. B for music in seventh and eighth grade. Despite the fact that he had a lot of tendencies that could be deemed less than professional, and many stories about him related to alcohol (and other drug) use and sexual harassment circulating around the school, we can't assume that any of these things--true or not--had an impact on the fate of this elderly man. It is very sad that this man was struck and killed. Just the same, it is very sad that a local teacher did it. It was not a hit and run; I'm sure Mr. B. feels deeply saddened; not just because he will probably get in some sort of trouble, but because he has had to deal with a very traumatic thing. How would you feel if a car you were driving hit someone? I wouldn't feel very good. Unless it is proven that he was speeding excessively or under the influence at the point, which to the best of my knowledge has not been proven, unless it is proven that he did this with malicious intent, which also has not been proven, then this is what we commonly call in life "an accident". All people do bad things; they don't always mean to. I didn't like having Mr. B. as a teacher and I didn't like a lot of the things he did during class. However, I haven't found it in me to truly judge his character based off of what would condense into less than a month's worth of time with him. I saw him each day under the same exact circumstances; I didn't know what was and wasn't happening in his personal life. This man is human, too. I know it's so hard for students to realize such things about teachers, but he is human. He has a family and a life outside of the 45 minutes per day that he plays Kumbaya and attempts to teach students the proper way to hold a guitar. --FHS08 PS: The extra credit for skirts thing--do you have some sort of complex? He'd give girls zeroes if they wore skirts on days we were supposed to play guitar, even if the school concert was that day. Mr. Bednarsky may need some mental help, but obviously a good deal of people responding to this article do, as well. |

I happen to have known Bruce for many years now. I know his entire family and I am friends with two of his sons. I have played several music gigs also with BRuce. He is a great guy and is very kind. He would never wish any harm upon anyone and I think that it is disrespectful for his students to trash a man who apparently they barely know. It is a tragic accident and I know that Bruce feels awful about it. Leave the man in peace.

I am a student at East Shore and to my classmates leaving these mean and disrespectful comments really need to grow up. You guys can't even spell or use correct grammar, now let's all be nice now. You have a lot of guts to talk bad about Mr. B and not even leave your name.
