But would it have made a difference if the plow was out at 10:30? My husband was shoveling at that time and when I got up a 5:00 the next morning, you couldn't even tell. The snow in the driveway and the walks was as high as the snow on the lawn. And we had already shoveled 3 times prior to the 10:30pm shoveling.
It wouldn't have made any difference, the wind was blowing the snow all over. You couldn't tell Saturday morning if you had shoveled Friday night or not. This snowstorm dropped 3 feet of snow in under 24 hours. It takes a while to clean that, especially in towns like Bridgeport that had cars stranded in the roads because people ignored the advice to stay off the streets. So you had to stay home for a few days, how terrible. One inconvenience and people lose their friggin minds.

Some towns cleaned up a lot quicker than others.... Bridgeport has always been bad at it. Always.

yeah, i think so. if they got rid of the first 10 inches then they would only have to plow 20. instead of getting stuck in the garage when it was 30 inches.

I agree too. Slow down, do triage by concentrating on the main roads. It certainly would have helped, although its possible that at some point, one lane would become no lanes, by the plows not being able to throw the snow up and out of the trenches.

We will be talking about this storm for the rest of our lives.
