Call him the magical mayor. Mark Lauretti makes developments appear and allegations disappear.

The cases were split because the money laundering & tax evasion is more easily proven as there are bank documents, etc. Pretty clear for a jury.
The case against political official #1 does not appear to be as strong therefore may never see the inside of a courtroom.
Often times people do talk big- like some have claimed- the wannabe tycoons. But when it comes time to put it into a statement for the feds & swear to it in a court of law - the "talk around town" is exposed for what it really is - jealous rumors and politically biased innuendo.
Don't believe everything you read on the bathroom wall at city hall (or here)!

If this is true and Lauretti and his corrupt administration walk free it proves 2 things:

1. A horrible injustice is being done to every citizen of the City of Shelton who have suffered at the hands of this group of thugs; and

2. The feds investigating this corruption have to be the dumbest bunch ever to see the light of day.

Lauretti has not been charged or his so called corrupt administration. Maybe you should seek cousling as you just can't seem to deal with the fact that there is no proof and perhaps that is because they are innocent!
Look at all the friends and family Leon put in the school system and then talk about corruption. Look at the 1.5 million plus spent on renovating BOE central office while circumventing the city charter. Please look to things that have facts to back them up.

Let's face it, if the Democrats were given some of the millings from route 8 work, that would not have been an issue either. It's like spoiled little brats on the democratic ticket!

Hey Been There-
Bring your best evidence and witnesses to the FBI office. They will not turn away any real legitimate information or documentation of criminal activity that can be verified.
It is not that they are dumb investigators as you suggest, but they can't operate on rumors& innuendo like these blogs do. They need real facts, information & documentation to prosecute any case.
We'll be waiting to get the results of your venture of truth.
You may be disappointed to find the Lauretti political opposition will have to wait until the next elections o try take over the reigns of power- the Shark is still standing.

You have misunderstood me - I have no beef with Lauretti - I think - no - I know - he just made some bad judgment calls which have resulted in his now being owned by these thugs especially, Alvaro DaSilva.
