it's admiral Dunne reconizes he was in way over his head on this venture and Hughes seems to be a legit voice of reason and common sense, but they can't do it alone and a Rogaine salesman in Blueblocker's will fleece the town just as is happening on canal st.First, what happens to the S*** plant?nothing because that is the optimal location.ode of derby with a shelton maxed mix in on northerly breeze.Ahhh, let's go get our groceries,i'm hungry.Or, we can just look at the rusted, graffitti laden industrial age trestle and gaze cross the boulber strewn jette to the precious jewel of Shelton's signature downtown revit-ewe inspiring canal st.

It would be nice to finally see something getting started in downtown Derby lord knows it has been over due but the truth is that Derby will have to be patient so that they can make the right choices for the future of the city. they should hear other proposals and listen to peoples ideas and maybe even hire a company to figure out what would be best for the town that is over 325 years old. remember when Derby was first started factories needed to be by rivers and Derby itself was a shipping port town. Today things are different and so are the needs of the citizens of Derby. I believe that the mayor and his staff are working in the right direction but at the sametime I know that they only want to do what is best for the city. It's the smallest city in the state and it could actually turn out to be a gem if all the right choices are made. It won't be easy but I believe that they will get the job done.

This is the most exciting news to come out of City Hall in years.

I think they finally have it right with a mix of developers. Now the people need to re-elect Tony so the process doesnt have to start all over again.

they really should try to ultilize ever inch of all of the downtown property. I hope they connect buildings with walking bridges to cross streets above the road like when you go into the Yale Hospital from the parking agrage plus if they build a 7 or 8 story parking garage that can hold a lot of cars they can save a lot of space. The downtown site is not that big or isn't actually shaped to make easy access to and from. I just hope they think about a lot of important things...I believe that they will. I hope so anyway. At least I know that city hall is listening anyway.
