Man gets 3 years in officer's death

Bruce Knapik, the 65-year-old Bridgeport man who struck a Shelton police officer with his pickup truck on July 3, 2010, will spend the next three years in prison following sentencing Thursday afternoon by Superior Judge Bruce Kaplan.

The thug should be in jail for the rest of his life for trying to kill a police officer. Shame on the judge.

It is sad that officer's life is only worth 3 years. Maybe that judge should take him home to live with him.
